Our house is close to town, but in the woods.  Only 3 miles to South Campus of NAU, and less than 5 miles to downtown. but borders Coconino National Forest on two sides with miles of hiking, biking and horesback riding trails begining literally out the back door.  Because of the surrounding forest, the house feels very secluded and elk sometimes wander through the neighborhood. 

The owner lives across the street and it may be possible to board your horse if you'd like to come and ride.

$150/night weekdays (monday-thurs)  $175/night weekends (Fri-sun) and holidays

one week or longer off-season (September1-November 15 and February 1-May 1) rates negotioable.  Check with owner.
