Beautiful view of Little Point Sable Lighthouse near Silver Lake. Easy access (1/8 mile) to fantastic Lake Michigan Beach and sunsets at the lighthouse, and at Golden Township Park, where shallow, sandy bottom Silver Creek enters Lake Michigan (popular for families with small children). The view of the lighthouse includes a gorgeous view of a unique natural sand-dune ecology on state-owned land. The cottage sits amid sand and native flora. The lighthouse has daily access ($2) for climbs to an exterior observation deck. The beach is popular with wind-surfers and kite-boarders. Famous Mac Woods Dune Rides is less than 2 miles away, along Natural Beauty Road Lighthouse Drive, which passes through a rare grove of mature White Pine trees (Michigan's state tree). Boat access to Silver Lake is directly across from Mac Woods. The cottage is located 42 miles north of Muskegon and 33 miles south of Ludington off US-31. It is 17 miles south of the wonderful village of Pentwater (higher end eating and shopping).

The cottage has 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, 2 twins) and sleeps 6. 1 bathroom with shower, full kitchen, fireplace, 42 inch cable TV in the living room, small TV in the master bedroom. The deck is 12' x 24', with a deck table, chairs and umbrella, and a gas grill. A lovely, private fire-pit is behind the cottage. Owners 2 bicycles and deck/beach chairs, boogie boards and toys may be used. No furnace, air-conditioning, washer, dryer or land-line phone. There are numerous ceiling fans and other fans.

The nearby summer-only "town" of Silver Lake contains Mac Woods Dune Rides, Silver Lake State Park (access for dune buggies and dune climbing), Craig's Cruisers (go-carts, bumper boats, miniature golf on an island, zip line), Jeep, dune-buggy and watercraft rentals, a grocery store, and many summer-tourist businesses. Numerous golf courses are within a 30 minute drive.
