A Piece of Paradise in St George Island

This ground floor,one-story unit is literally a stone's throw from the beach.  This property was recently totally renovated and is newly listed as a rental.  It features Italian tile, crown molding, and cypress walls which give it a "sanctuary" feel. The Gulf view is amazing!    There are two bedrooms, and a loft above the kitchen, which also sleeps two.  This unit features a wonderful swimming pool that is just feet away from the front door, and you may have trouble deciding whether to cool off in the pool or to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch to wind down after a fantastic day of fishing, biking, shelling . . . or you could relax here all day with a good book.

Wi-Fi is abailable for all guests. It is DSL through Fairpoint. Do to our solitude and isolation, the signal isn't always available.

This sweet get-away has two charming bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and two baths.  Each room has a tv, and there is a tv/dvd player in the living room, along with a stereo. There is a bike trail directly behing the unit that spans the length of the island. In five minutes, you can be at the St. George lighthouse, or at the Blue Parrot -- an iconic waterfront restaurant and bar -- having a frosty adult beverage.  There is so much to do on SGI, and Apalachicola -- a historic and charming town with amazing seafood pulled right from the Bay and fantastic art & antique shops, is right across the bridge.

Other amenities include dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, hair dryer, dvd player( built into tv) stereo, clock radios in bedrooms, ceiling fans in each room, tiled floors, outdoor shower by the sparkling pool, covered deck, private pool shared only by six tenants, and Weber charcoal grills for grilling in front of Breeze Way.

Recently, the beaches of St. George Island were considered in the top three beaches in the USA. Take a drive to the state park on the East end of the island and see for your self. As a fisherman, I can personally share the great fishing spots with you. Lots of redfish, flounder trout and whiting are everywhere just waiting for you to catch them.

Enjoy the world reknown " Apalachicola" oysters at some of our local destinations. Visit the recently renovated lighthouse just blocks away, and do not miss Historic Apalachicola for some of the finest dining and little shops you will ever visit.
