vacation rental description
4 Bedrooms in the main house which sleeps 8, and a separate Granny Flat that will sleep 3 more for a total of 11! 2 full bathrooms in main house and a full bathroom in the granny flat. The Granny Flat also has a kitchen with a stove-top range, and refrigerator. We also have a 2nd story deck off the upstairs bedroom in the main house with deck furniture so you can relax and enjoy the mountain views while sipping your favorite beverage. There is even a peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the deck!
We are only 60 seconds from the sand! Call us and we will e-mail you a link to a Google album with lots of pictures of our beach house and the areas surrounding the house.
You can listen to the waves crashing from our backyard as you sit on the patio in the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine while keeping an eye on the gas bar-b-q. Our beach is un-crowded and LONG, so you can walk along the sea's edge to your heart's content.
Within a few minutes walking distance is the Marina Beach park with lots of activities and beautiful views of the ocean and Marina. Ventura Harbor is only minutes away by bicycle or walking, and the Harbor has many shops, restaurants, and boat rentals. In addition, a short drive away or a scenic bike ride is the Ventura Pier, which has a promenade filled with walkers, roller-bladers, and cyclists. San Buenaventura Beach Park is also within walking distance, which is the start of a bike path that will take you along the coast or to the charming tourist town of Ojai. In addition, the city of Santa Barbara is only a 30 minute drive from Ventura.
Shops, restaurants, and rentals are all within easy walking distance. In addition to the Harbor, Seaward Ave. is a short walk from the house with charming restaurants and shops. Ventura Harbor has restaurants, boat rentals, cruises, whale watching boats, cruises to the Channel Islands, shops, a comedy club and much more.
Downtown Ventura is world renowned for its charming downtown area with antique stores, restaurants, saloons, and theatres. If you are not familiar with Ventura, California, it has a fantastic climate.
Temperatures are almost always moderate, lots of sun, low humidity, and very little rain.

- As noted in the Ventura County Star newspaper recently, the area of Ventura County known as 93001, with its temperate Mediterranean climate, gorgeous views, miles of beaches and wide variety of desirable homes in every price range, truly has something to offer for everyone. Contained within this ZIP code are some of Ventura's most well-known and beloved landmarks, such as the Ventura Pier, City Hall, San Buenaventura Mission, Pierpont Beach (where our house is located) and Two Trees. The Ventura Harbor, home of restaurants and shops and Marina Park also are found within its limits. The area is unique in its diversity - from the bungalows and luxurious oceanside homes of Pierpont Beach (where our home is located), to the burgeoning downtown area with its restaurants, shops, theatres and galleries, to the high end hillside residences with their stunning ocean and Channel Island views. Ventura's downtown is not only steeped in history (the SanBuenaventura Mission, Old City Hall and Ventura County Historical Museum are amoung its highlights) but a fast growing Mecca for the arts and many art galleries, fine restaurants and fascinating shops for browsing. The Majestic Ventura Theater hosts concerts for rock and blues aficiaonados, the Rubicon Theater presents a wonderful variety of plays and musicals and many restaurants such as Zoey's and the Watermark regularly provide excellent live music for dancing and listening. Running along the ocean front from the Promenade and Surfer's Point in Ventura (minutes from our house) all the way to downtown Ojai, the Ojai Bike Trail is another great feature of the 93001. Cyclists and joggers can catch a glimpse of the group of dolphins or watch surfers and sail boarders riding the waves. Whether you desire shopping, fine dining, great entertainment, surfing, cycling, or just relaxing on the beach this area has it all!!

Sept 16 thru May 31, $2375/week for the main house plus granny flat,or $3,400/month
All monthly rentals include utilities (maximum of $350) and there is no 10% tax for monthly rentals.
A cleaning fee of $150-200 and a refundable security deposit of $500 required.
Pets will be considered, but not preferred (no cats). Non-refundable pet fee of $150 per pet required.
Holiday week rates are 10% more. Holiday weeks are Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day
