The Cottage in Milford

Perfect "home away from home" for your summer getaway.  Whether looking for a home base for your family or a quiet retreat, our home is the ideal place. Only a three minute walk to a private beach with lifeguard on duty in season, all your needs are met at "the cottage."  

An intimate retreat, our summer cottage offers plenty of space to spread out!  Cuddle up with a good book in the family room, sip lemonade on the front porch, play a boardgame on the dining room table, send the kids to the rec room to put together a puzzle, make omelets in the fully equipped kitchen, or grill up a feast on the grill and dine al fresco on the deck over looking a private backyard.  Memories abound!

If adventure is on your list, Milford beaches offer kite and wind surfing, cycling, sailing or kayaking. Charles Island is fun to explore at low tide or stay beachside and build sandcastles and body surfing on the secluded beach.

Downtown Milford is always a great time with the Oyster Festival, local art shows, free Friday night concerts, original restaurants, and an eclectic collection of quaint, privately owned shops.

If you would like to spread your wings a bit, consider a day trip to nearby Bridgeport to catch a minor league baseball game or tour the historic Beardsley Zoo with its original carousel!  You can also travel north 15 minutes to New Haven and explore Wooster Square (the home of Pepe's Pizza), wander Yale University, find the famed Grilled Cheese Truck and make your way to the Apple Store on Broadway!
