neighborhood, off Pennsylvania Avenue. A 2 block walk to the
Eastern Market metro and revitalized 8th Street Corridor hosting
many new, trendy restaurants. This perfect location provides many
walking destinations including the Shakespeare Theatre, Supreme
Court, Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, Metro, fine dining &
entertainment venues.

DC Row House Close to Metro

My family of 4 (with children ages 9 and 6) spent a week in the house as our jumping-off point for sightseeing. It was great for us. The Eastern Market metro stop was less than a 5 minute walk. A good grocery store was 2 blocks away, a drug store 1 block away, a variety of restaurants 2 blocks away. The children had their own bedroom so all didn't have to go to bed at the same time (a huge plus if you've ever vacationed with small children in a single hotel room). A full kitchen gave us the flexibility to eat in. The unit came with a covered garage (wide enough for a minivan, long enough for a Mini Cooper) which was a must for us as the alternative is finding a parking lot or a space on the street. A very good experience for us. Thanks.

Recommended for: families with young children, sight seeing

Owners response: Just to clarify on the garage. The garage is detached behind the house and the gate can be left open with no security concern, so even if one's car doesn't fit lengthwise inside the garage gate it can still be parked in the garage with the garage gate open.

Perfect for AIRP/AFIP

A colleague of mine and I stayed for 4 weeks. Very convenient, 2-minute walk to the Metro for our commute to AIRP or to just see the sights. Just 2 blocks off 8th street for good nightlife. It was wonderful to just step outside and see the US Capitol. We didn't need a car the whole month. Owners provided most of the necessities, 2br, bath, kitchen, washer/dryer, cable, what more can you ask for? I would recommend this to anyone looking for a multi-week stay in DC, but would definitely come back if even just visiting for just a short trip. I cannot stress how great the place was and how accommodating the owners are.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, sight seeing, tourists without a car
