Vacation Rental Description

This custom Colorado home was designed by the architect to the late Walt Disney. It is a 
California style split-3-level home built on the mountainside. The house takes advantage of 
the 1 acre lot and features wall to wall windows showcasing the endless National Forest 
views. Outside are a series of 3 split level patios that look both above and into the trees. This 
house was built with the view in mind, the patios face Northwest towards the LaPlata 
Mountains and the most picturesque sunsets you will ever see!

Durango is ultimately the place to play! In the winter you can enjoy a scenic ride on an old 
steam engine narrow guage train (used in the filming of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance 
Kid), Hit the slopes at Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory).Try night skiing at Hesprus ski 
area, take in the beauty from a different perspective...from a dog sled or snowmobile or 
simply step out the back door and sled on mountainside that the home is built on. 

Spring and Summer are a deligt, you can take a ride through the animas valley on a glider 
plane, go fly fishing on one of the many lakes and streams, get wet and wild on a raft trip 
through the Smelter Rapids on the Animas River, hit some balls on one of the many 
mountain golf courses, venture 30 minutes west of town and explore the Ancient Cliff 
Dwelling Indian Ruins at Mesa Verde National Park, rent a mountain bike at Pedal the 
Peaks or Mountain Bike Specialists and choose from hundreds of trails, spend the day 
hiking the Rockies or catch the D&SNG Rail Road! 

Fall is the perfect time to visit the Four Corners to watch the colors change, if you have
