Sitting on the sands of the exclusive Miramar Beach in Santa
Barbara, California, this unique, two-story wooden beach house is
one of a kind on this semi-private beach. The current owners bought
this home 18 years ago from the actor James Brolin.
Constructed of teak, mahogany and white spruce...accompanied
by etched and stained glass window, it has been designed to look and
feel like a well-built custom sailing vessel.
Fully appointed, the two units can be used as a single family
home as both units are connected by an inside stairway. While the
upstairs unit does have the larger deck and the fireplace, the lower
unit sits right on the sand...at very high tide you could dangle
your feet in the water!!
Miramar Beach is a beautiful, clean beach that stretches for
miles in each direction. At low tide, you can walk miles: West to
the Biltmore hotel(2 miles) and Stearns Wharf(3 miles)and East to
the little town of Summerland to visit antique stores and
restaurants.
The Coastal Village of Montecito and its neighbor, the Upper
Village,are each just a mile away...shops, salons, spas and
restaurants abound in these quaint areas.
Walk on the beach, enjoy the sunrise and maybe see and swim
with the dolphins during your stay! The surfing is great on
Hammonds Beach and it's right outside your door!
To those who visit, this seems like Paradise. To those who
live here...its just another Tuesday.
We are 15 minutes from the Santa Barbara Airport and an 8
minute drive to downtown and the harbor/marina. Los Angeles is 1.5 -
2 hours to the South.
