Vacation Rental Description

This tropical island canal home is located in Big Pine Key, in the 
heart of The Blue Heron and Key Deer Refugee. At mile marker 30, 
this 
home is just a scenic 30-minute drive away from historic and exotic 
Key West, the Southernmost Point in the Continental USA.

There is plenty of tropical landscaping surrounding this beautifully 
decorated island home. Some of the many local attractions include, 
quick access to fishing in the Atlantic and Florida Bay, diving at 
Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, kayaking in the backwaters, 
swimming and snorkeling at Bahia Honda State Park (1992 America’s 
best beach). You can even watch our Key Deer come right up to the 
front gate.


This home consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a fully equipped 
kitchen. In addition, the entire residence has island furniture, tile 
floors, ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, central 
air conditioner unit and heater. Also, a gas grill is provided to cook your catch of 
the day. Behind the residence sits a canal with access to the 
Atlantic and Florida Bay waters. A neighborhood boat ramp is just 2 
minutes away from the backyard dock.

The home is located in a very quiet, serene neighborhood.  Local
restaurants, grocery stores, seafood markets, hardware shops, banks,
drugstores, post offices, bait/tackle shops, boat rentals, gas 
stations and marinas are less than 5 minutes away.

Activities and Attractions

Enjoy the warm sunrays of the fabulous Florida Keys. Big Pine key is 
unique among other islands in the Keys because it has the 
distinction 
of being the home of the tiny and gentle key deer, found nowhere 
else 
in the continental U.S. Many plants and animals in the island are 
rare and unusual, including species of Caribbean origin. Walking or 
bicycling is an excellent way to explore and experience the quiet 
and 
peaceful nature of the island. 

Bahia Honda State Park on Mile Marker 37, is the most beautiful 
beach 
in the Keys. All water sports are possible. Snorkeling or diving at 
the Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary.

Tarpon fishing in the area rates among the best in the world. 
Swimming with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center on Mile 
Marker 59, will leave you with an unforgettable experience. Key West 
night live, dining, shopping and walking the old town, which is full 
of historic sites, offers a memorable vacation in the Florida Keys.
