Good Day Sunshine in Blue Mountain Beach

Our house is situated in beautiful Blue Mountain Beach, Florida in the heart of Scenic Highway 30A just 10 miles from Destin to the west and 15 miles from Panama City Beach to the east. 30A is a scenic drive along the emerald coast that is speckled with unique artsy beach communities, each with their special flare and appeal. Seaside hosts weekly concerts and movies and has eclectic shops and great local restaurants. If you travel further east on 30A you will reach Alys Beach which also hosts weekly outdoor concerts and movies. Further east is Rosemary Beach, which again has unique shops and eateries. A 22 mile paved walking/jogging/biking trail extends the length of 30A and passes beautiful beaches, coastal dune lakes, and picturesque beach towns. Bike/kayak rentals, restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance of the house. We are within a few hundred yards of the sugar white sands and emerald waters that have been voted one of the top 10 beaches. Beach access (with parking, shower, and restrooms) is a one minute drive or short walk or bike ride.

About the House:

Good Day Sunshine is a gorgeous 3 story beach house directly across the street from the Blue Mountain Beach Club pool and exercise room and just blocks from the sugar white sand and emerald water of the beaches of South Walton. The first floor offers a large bedroom with qeen bed, spacious closet, full-size bathroom with tub, travertine floors, 32' flat screen HDTV with blu-ray disc player, and PlayStation 2 with loads of games to choose from.

Traveling up the newly installed wood stairwell brings you to the second floor with newly ceramic tiled floors, a well-equipped gourmet kitchen with smooth cooktop stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator with ice-maker, granite countertops, and breakfast bar. This floor also offers a dining table with seating for 4, a pull-out full-size sleeper sofa, 42' HDTV, PlayStation 3 with plenty of games, a brand new balcony with a picnic table that seats 4 including an umbrella and a gas grill.

Moving up to the third floor offers two additional bedrooms and a full-size bathroom. One bedroom offers a queen-size bed, spacious closet, a 32' HDTV, blu-ray disc player, and PlayStation 2 with loads of games. The other bedroom offers a king-size bed, spacious closet, a 32' HDTV, blu-ray disc player, and PlayStation 2. Both bedrooms on the third floor have glass sliders that open on to a balcony with beautiful views of the beach club pool and beyond. The third floor balcony offers seating for 4. Also on the third floor is a fabulous bathroom with travertine floors, granite countertop, and large glass walk-in shower. All rooms in the home are freshly painted, and newly furnished and decorated. The home is equipped with wi-fi internet, telephones in each room, and cable service.

The exterior of the home offers a brick pavered driveway and patio, outside shower, 4 bikes, and beach gear including 4 chairs, an umbrella, and beach and pool toys. The exterior of the home is newly painted and landscaped with outdoor lighting.

There’s plenty to do along Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A. Kayaking and paddle boarding in one of the coastal lakes or at the beach is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Many places nearby offer rentals and even lessons. Walk, jog, or bike the many miles of trails along 30A for spectacular views. Restaurants abound offering delectable local fare that’s sure to tempt your taste buds. You won’t find chain restaurants or fast food along 30A! Several of the area beach communities like Seaside and Alys Beach host weekly outdoor concerts and movies. So pack your beach chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets and enjoy an evening under the stars. Dotted all along 30A are shops and art galleries galore for you to browse. If you’d like to explore beyond 30A, you can head west to Destin or east to Panama City Beach for even more shopping, dining, and amusements. Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to relax and enjoy the sugar white sand and emerald waters of our beautiful beaches.
