Court Square Guest House in Queens

Since 1997 I've rented 2 comfortable 4x5m rooms in my 1870s loft-style apartment; please note I live in the apartment so you will be sharing it with me, my dog & sundry tropical fish.

Furnished in classic American Mission style with sturdy wood and soft leather the ambiance is comfortable, relaxed and unpretentious, the guest towels thick Turkish cotton, the beds top of the line with all cotton, high count linens. There is central heat, air conditioning and always plenty of hot water; free wifi and 24-hour access.

I"m in the Long Island City neighborhood, a center of NYC's film, television, new media & arts directly across the East River from midtown Manhattan. PS1/MOMA Contemporary Art Center is right across the street & 5 Pointz around the corner, and we have the Noguchi Museum, Socrates Sculpture Garden, and numerous art galleries & studios. 4 subway lines converge at the station right across the street. and it's just 1 stop to midtown Manhattan, 2 to Rockefeller Center, 6 minutes to Grand Central Station, 10 to Times Square, 15 to Greenwich Village or Brooklyn Bridge. The subways run 24/7 and these lines are heavily frequented and safe at any time.

For 13 years the Court Square Guest House has been a home away from home for independent travelers interested in venturing beyond the standard tourist itinerary, engaged people with strong interests and passions, who, like me, have kicked around a bit and have their own stories to tell.  My goal is for you to feel relaxed and as comfortable as if you were in your own home.

While the price is low the ammenities are top-shelf:  leather club chairs in each guest room; solid wood beds & top of the line mattresses that some guests have claimed is the most comfortable bed they've ever slept in; thick Macy's Hotel line towels, high-count all cotton sheets; thick wool oriental rugs & heavy drapes to keep out the noise & light to ensure a good nights sleep.  We also have a fully equipped kitchen guests are free to use.  The main guest room features a writing table from a bordello in Beaumont, Texas and in the lounge we have our very own Stature of Liberty, how cool is that?
