The winter climate is the primary attraction, along with wonderful mountain and desert scenery and a wide range of outdoor opportunities.  Nearby Madera Canyon is a famous bird watching area and provides great hiking opportunities.  7 golf courses. A wide variety of restaurants nearby. Tucson is only 20 minutes away.  The artist enclave of Tubac is 15 minutes away. Green Valley is primarily 55+ residents which gives the town a special feel of relaxation and friendliness.
