Do not bother renting this house

Do not rent this house if you have the option.

The realtors we difficult to deal with I felt, important documents were not sent/went missing their side e.g. the rental contact - turns out the paperwork they sent did not include this - only realised 3 days before renting when re checking with them, they had no contract record of me renting it yet had I the email confirmations and had returned all they had sent to me. Then they numbers provided only went through to voicemail for 36 hours while trying to sort.

As for the house, all I can say is the 90's called and would like it back. The fixtures and fittings seemed all from the 80's/90's. Couple of new things such as the telly

Hot tub unusable as there was 3 foot of snow and a 10 foot walk between the house and it so cannot comment, pool table unusable - room was too small for it, cue tips broken and the table was on a slant

The email I sent to the realtor whilst there, which never received an acknowledgement or reply included

• Not all lights work, main lights in the living room, the kitchen and one of the bedrooms do not work
• Towels – one bath towel and one face cloth was ALL I could find after looking through the whole please, I then found more towels later but in only one bathroom - very tough to find
• Not recently done up – most fixtures and fittings are from the ‘80’s except the TV and pool table (which is in a room too small to actually make it really usable)
• There is a hole in the master bedroom door
• No keys/clicker for the garage could be found, yet was said they would be on the foyer table
• It is 7 KM from the heavenly lift – a bit more than was mentioned
• No welcome pack e.g. milk, bread, coffee etc – there were tea bags though
• No booklet on how to use things e.g. the hot tubs, TV’s, washing machine where everything is etc
• The house itself is nearly impossible to find – I spent 20 minutes on the correct road looking for it and had to ask 3 different houses – something as simple as a map of the road would have been good.
• No Wi-Fi – not mentioned but would have been nice and expected

Plus points
• Heating works, thankfully
• House is big and is not too bad, bar décor
• Beds etc are all very nice and the, bathrooms seem OK
• Rooms are a good size

Book it if you wish but there are better places for the money I am sure
