  Fully furnished efficiency apartment in a home that I built from scratch, by myself.  A magical setting bordering the Pisgah National Forest on 12 acres.  This "heaven on earth' has such deeply engrained roots. The Appalachian Mountains are the oldest mountains in the world.  There is an element of natural healing and personal growth here.  Personal transformation, relaxation and enjoyment is inevitalbe.  A country setting surrounded by horses, goats, cows, turkeys, countless wildlife, hiking, biking, fishing, or just taking in all that Mother Nature has created for us to enjoy. Get unplugged. Get grounded. If you are asking yourself, "why am I here?, what am I supposed to do?... getting back to what nature has to offer will help you so much. Go to youtube and put in Camp Kathy Kane  for more pictures.  I am located about 25 minutes North of Asheville and 15 minutes North of Weaverville. Google Weaverville. It's a great litle town. It is best to call to reserve a time slot.

Wonderful Experience at Kamp Kathy's!

I had a wonderful experience at Kamp Kathy's. Kathy and her friendly pets made me feel right at home. The apartment was clean and peaceful. My favorite part was watching the birds outside the windows at the feeders. I was surrounded by woods, quiet and a space that allowed me to unwind and focus on self-care. I thank Kathy for her hospitality and her generosity in sharing a space that allows others to relax and reconnect.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Absolute Serenity

We have been fortunate enough to head up to Ashville, NC. from Atlanta, GA. on several occasions. Staying at Camp Kathy is perfect in every way; the size of the room you stay in, the privacy, the proximity to outside activities, downtown Ashville, the mountains, horseback riding, shops or nothing at all and enjoying the long range mountain views from your private patio area.

We are from Atlanta, it’s a quick 3.5 hour drive and then when you arrive you can leave everything behind. We have been fortunate to stay in a lot places around the country, many brand name hotels and resorts that you would know and I would take a weekend relaxing at Camp Kathy Kane over any 5 star resort.

Thanks Kathy, you made our stay better than we could have every expected, we plan to return soon.

My most FAVORITE place!!!

My husband and I have stayed here a few times now. We actually got engaged just a few miles away on a hike on one of our first trips here :) The Pisgah National Forest is just up the street and has AMAZING hiking spots including an easy hike to a waterfall that we just love to go to. Kathy is such a wonderful and gracious host, we had such a great time with her!! There is plenty to do around town, but there was so much to do around the property we never left this last time. No matter what the season, Kathy can point you in the direction of the best places to go and things to do. We happen to love to be outdoors on hikes and exploring, but some of my favorite times were relaxing by the fire pit and spending quality time with my husband without ANY distractions. It is so relaxing and rejuvenating there - we both come away feeling more at peace with ourselves and each other.
We live in Atlanta, so we certainly have plenty of options when it comes to vacations and weekends away, but this has been our favorite spot for a while now. Whenever we get the chance we like to come up to relax and reconnect. I can't suggest this place enough!! If Kathy would let me move in I would probably never leave!
