Welcome to Casa Montana, our private getaway in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This is our special retreat that we look forward to sharing with you. Only 45 minutes from the frantic pace of the Silicon Valley and 15 minutes to the Santa Cruz Mountain wineries, or the beaches of of Bonny Doon and Santa Cruz. A special retreat you can call your own for a long weekend, or a week. Located on sixty acres of redwood forest, this very private luxury lodge awaits you with all the comforts of home, yet close to the very best that Northern California offers.

• Mountain View Master Suite - California King Bed with its own bathroom and soaking tub
• Forest View Room - Queen Bed, sitting area, desk, iMac, and skylight
• Valley View Room - 2 Twin/ Single Beds, small desk, iMac, and skylight
• Garden View Room - Queen Bed, full size desk, Laser Printer
• Great Room - One of the Great Room sofas converts into a Queen pull-out bed.

All bedrooms come with high-thread count cotton, and cotton blend sheets, hypo-
allergenic down-like pillows, cashmere blanket and duvet. There are lots of extra wool
blankets for guests who require them. Valley View and Forest View rooms each have
stunning windows and skylights that provide panoramic views of the San Lorenzo valley. Master Suite has walk out french doors to the deck. Valley View and Forest View Rooms share one bathroom with tub and shower. Garden View room (on main floor) has adjacent bathroom, tub and shower. Master Suite is self contained with luxurious soaking tub and shower.

All bath linens and bath robes are provided.

There is a central great room complete with two sofas, an easy chair, and a cozy stone
fireplace. The media room contains a sofa and two easy chairs alongside a flat screen TV.

The dining table seats 8 and is located in the kitchen. The outdoor dining table seats 10.

When we set about to create Casa Montana, we wanted a place where we could retreat
from everyday life, yet enjoy the comfort of a modern, well appointed vacation home.
We have selected the coziest furnishings, the softest bed linens, and the quietest appliances with an attention to detail to assure that your stay is relaxing. With optional daily maid and catering service available, you will be comfortable and worry-free yet able to access the outside world through high-speed Internet, basic cable TV, or at the many local attractions when you need it.

We ask that you treat our place like your own. We expect you to use it and enjoy it. If you break something, we'd at least like you to offer to pay for it. Accidents happen as they say!

The property is large and is great for adults and children alike. Thus said, it is not child-proof. We've taken steps to make this a safe place. But, as with any place in the mountains there are risks including poison oak, skunks, spider, scorpions, and (very rarely)snakes. Also, the house is next to a very steep cliff. While you would have to hike through some really nasty stuff to fall over it, nevertheless, it is there.

The area is perfect for outdoor activities. There is a bocce bal court on site. The Santa
Cruz Mountains host more than 30 wineries, many open for weekend wine tours and
tasting. The beaches at Santa Cruz, and the Santa Cruz Pier and Boardwalk are less than 20 minutes away. Enjoy long hikes through the Giant Redwoods at Big Basin State Park or kayaking through Loch Lomond, or on the ocean at the Elkhorn Slough. And of course, the property and its surrounds offer natural trails through the forest or an energetic 1.5 mile walk to the village at Ben Lomond.

Within 30 minutes you can drive to Bonny Doon, Santa Cruz, Aptos, Capitola, Boulder
Creek, Big Basin, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, or Los Gatos.

Forty-five minutes to San Jose, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Monterey, Seaside, and Half-Moon Bay.

One hour to Carmel, Redwood City, Fremont, San Mateo, Pacifica. One-and-one-half hours to Big Sur, San Francisco, Oakland.

Weekly rentals Tuesday through Monday starting at $3000. Weekend rental also available starting at $2000 Friday through Monday. $500 surcharge for parties larger than 6.

Deposit of $1000 due at booking, with balance due 10 days prior to arrival. Damage deposit of $500 required. Refunded within 48 hours of departure, subject to deductions for any damages.
