You’ll feel right at home in this cozy little apartment, which has everything you need for an
enjoyable stay. It’s on the second floor of a typical 1920s house on a tree-lined street with similar
constructions and the rows of balconies Montreal neighbourhoods are known for. Renovations have not
detracted one bit from its cachet
and warmth.
This apartment has all the charm of older Montreal homes, with original oak floors, woodwork,
mouldings and high ceilings. Completely renovated in 2007 and 2008, it offers all the modern comforts
you need, with two flower-decked balconies, one in the sun and one in the shade.
The living room, which is equipped with a double sofa bed, can be used as a spare bedroom. You’ll
enjoy cable television with a USB connection, a CD/DVD/DIVX player and high-speed wireless Internet
access. The sunny kitchen has been entirely renovated and is very functional, with a table that seats
four. It gives on to the back balcony, which offers an unimpeded view of neighbouring gardens and the
alley. The groundfloor apartment has a private garden. The comfortable bedroom is a good size, with
plenty of storage space and a queen-size bed. The bathroom has been renovated, with walls and floors
in ceramic tile, a bathtub with shower and a large
mirrored medicine cabinet.

is!
Villeray-Little Italy,
The people, its soul:
Villeray-Little Italy is discovering itself and expanding its
horizons. Young couples and families have moved to the neighbourhood
for its friendliness, schools, services and the Jean-Talon Market,
which is central to residents’ lives. Students, labourers,
professionals, artists, the young and not-so-young of all origins
bring this culturally diverse and harmonious neighbourhood to life.
Life is good here and the residents know how to enjoy it! The
flavours of Italy and Portugal permeate the area! Asia, North Africa
and the Middle East have a strong presence too. Your eyes and your
palate will delight!
The Main:
Saint-Laurent Blvd., brimming with bistros and restaurants, will
cast its spell on you. Any event is a perfect excuse for partying
and letting loose on Saint-Laurent. The street is a focal point for
the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the international soccer championships,
when residents of this urban river go a little crazy, make a little
noise, all in a spirit of good fun! Celebration reigns all night,
year-round! The street is jam-packed with all sorts of businesses.
Venture inside for exciting encounters. Plunge into the crowd and
take part in the celebration!
The Jean-Talon Market:
The famous Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North
America, is just a 10-minute walk away. Open year-round, the market
is something to behold! It is home to mainly regional growers and
producers, with vegetables, fruit, meat and dairy products,
including an impressive array of cheeses, on offer. Just add Quebec
fish and seafood and regionally-made products, a wide range of
exotic shops, bulk food, organic and equitable products, and you
have some idea of the diversity the Jean-Talon Market offers. You’ll
linger on restaurant and café terraces, watching people bustling
about the stalls, while a nearby flutist enchants, and a barrel
organ follows you note for note. You’ll make a detour to the market
every day!
