A lovely pet and family friendly private home, located on a deep water canal with direct access to Sarasota Bay and only a short walk across the main road (200 meters) to a private deeded and quiet white sand beach perfect for morning beach-combing and end of day golden sunsets. Located in the prestigious yet laid back island of Longboat Key, you are near venues for golf, tennis, fishing, kayaking, boating, water skiing, and wind surfing. The world class shopping and restaurants in St. Armand Circle and laid back charms of Anna Maria Island are minutes away. A private pool is accessible from both the master and guest bedrooms. The dock can accommodate boats up to 27 ft. The attached garage helps keep your car out of the sun.

Our home comes completely equipped with everything you'll need for a beach holiday! During your stay here, you can enjoy our well kept garden or relax in our complete Tommy Bahamas furnished interior, which comes fully equipped with modern conveniences such as wireless internet (bring your own laptop), cable TV in living and master bedroom, phone line, a full library of DVD movies, Ipod/Ipad dock, board games, outdoor BBQ grill, and new cooling/heating system with HEPA filter and UV light purification system. The kitchen comes fully equipped for your culinary adventures or just simple grilling out on the outdoor gas grill. For your beach activities we have coolers, beach chairs, 2 bicycles, boogie boards, and beach/pool toys. The pool is well maintained and has a weekly service. The home is tiled throughout (including garage), and updated appliances make this property the ideal home away from home. Our boat dock is available for docking your private boat or kayaks, or just for fishing enjoyment. If you don't have your own boat/kayaks/bikes there are local vendors who will be able to rent them to you daily or weekly (e.g. Backyard Bike Shop is two blocks way and offers bikes from $10 - 30/ day or kayaks $40-50/day).

In addition to the beach access just steps away, Durante Park is an easy three block walk and offers several lovely shaded trails that lead you through the Mangroves trees ending at an overlook of Sarasota Bay. For families there is a nice shaded playground and for the nature lovers the park has numerous tropical plants and opportunities to observe dozens of sea bird species. For your pet there is even a water fountain.  If you are looking for a more active holiday over 10 miles of biking/jogging/walking/rollerblading trails run along the Gulf of Mexico Drive just 200 meters from our holiday destination. Minutes away are dozens of fishing locations, which helps give Florida the title of Fishing Capital of the World. After an active day our neighborhood have several walking distance options for refreshments. For your convenience Harry's (less than two blocks away) offers a Corners Store, Bakery and Fine Dinning Restaurant. Longboat Key is known as a beach-lover’s paradise on Florida’s west coast, but it is also home to one of the finest and most romantic restaurants in the country — Euphemia Haye - just four blocks away. Upstairs at the Haye Loft, you’ll find the best live music Sarasota and Anna Maria has to offer. In addition to the neighborhood locations the Sarasota area has numerous cultural attractions such as: Ringling Museum of Art, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Circus Sarasota, Sarasota Ballet, Opera, Orchestra, and several dinner theater companies.

Rent Rates for 2012 & 2013:

Autumn Harvest October 1 - November 30 - $1200 week, $4000 full month

Peak December 1, 2012 - April 30, 2013 - $1650 week, $5000 full month

Summer Sun - May 1, 2013 - August 31, 2013  $1200 week, $4000 full month

Off Peak September, 2013  $1000 Week, $3000 Month

Additional fees will be added to above rent price:  11.5% tax, $125 final cleaning charge

A 50% deposit and signed lease agreement is required before reservation is confirmed, 50% remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.   Also, a refundable $300 damage security is required and will be refunded within 10 to 30 days after departure.   There is also a $100 pet fee.
