vacation rental description
She sits high on the banks of the tidal waters of the St Croix River, overlooking Canada and historic St Croix Island, site of one the first European settlements of North America. The quintessential coastal Maine two story summer cottage is wrapped in vintage shake siding of robin’s egg blue with decks on every level to enjoy the natural surroundings. Richly mellowed-down knotty pine paneling enhances the interior throughout. A quaint but well appointed country kitchen with old beadboard cabinets, tile counters, and old copper sink is at each guest’s disposal. A fully enclosed glassed in porch graces the entire front with breathtaking views of the river. And upstairs two bedrooms offer complete comfort with a double size bed in one room and a queen size in the other...both will provide guests the experience of being kissed by the first rays of dawn in the USA.
Here is the perfect getaway cottage for peace and relaxation...a writers and artists paradise. Comfortably outfitted with an eclectic mix of quaint furnishings, Rose Haven offers antique decor in every room...some can even be purchased for the perfect take-home souvenir!
Nearby attractions can include beachcombing, bird-watching, kayaking, or hiking on the many well established trails. Shopping, dining, farmers market, movies and concerts are conveniently located uptown in nearby Calais... or go exploring the Maritime communities of New Brunswick including Campobello Island and the most easterly coastal villages of Eastport and Lubec.
And one doesn’t have to go anywhere to enjoy this little piece of paradise...just sit and read...smell the salt breezes...watch lobster boats tending to their traps...listen to the cries of gulls and ospreys...or experience a bald eagle swooping down right before your eyes...
Rose Haven will surely fulfill the dream for a delightful Maine vacation...and ensure wonderful memories....
