Charming traditional 1600 country manor house with independent self catering accomodation at the first floor of an cozy and traditional stone farmhouse Borgo di Vigoleno, at only 500 meters from ancient medieval village of Vigoleno and its Castle, a quiet countryside position in a horse farm ranch where you can travel back in time but with all the peace and comfort of the modern age.

Borgo di Vigoleno dominates a green hills landscape situated between Tuscany and Lombardy,  only one hour by car from Mediterranean See in Liguria.

We are in the heart of the Food Valley, only 8 km from famous Spa Terme di Salsomaggiore (Parma) and 2 Golf Courses (18 holes), with a surrounding area that means enjoy an historical and artistic culture made of typical food products such as Parma Ham, Parmesan Cheese and many others that are the main symbols of Emilia Romagna’s food tradition listening the notes of Giuseppe Verdi’s Opera.

The apart­ment (max 6 sleeps) is the ideal choice for a cou­ple or a fam­ily, the ideal house in which to relax and enjoy the coun­try­side and enter­tain, and also to use as a base from which to tour the rest of Italy.

Culture, art and environment together with a great enogastonomic tradition are the essence of the Vigoleno’s land, which is situated in Emilia Romagna, between the Apennines and the Po River, just one hours by car from Milan and one hour flight from Rome.
This is a land of forteness and castles like Bardi, Fontanellato, Colorno, Castell’Arquato, Felino, Soragna, Torrechiara, Scipione, Varano De’ Melegari.

At the center of the circuit of the castles, at 8 chilometers from Vigoleno lies Salsomaggiore and Tabiano Terme, the most visited spa towns in Europe. Also, at 10 minutes by car, you can find Busseto, the town of Maestro Giuseppe Verdi.

Vigoleno is inside the Stirone River region Park, a protected area that has a great paleontological value, with fossils, fauna and flora.

From Vigoleno, the most active people will enjoy to discover appennine on horseback, by bike or on foot, maybe with a trekking on pilgri’s way Via Francigena, from Fidenza to the Cisa Pass.
