My Little "Peace" of Maine in Belgrade Lakes

Enjoy East Pond's beautiful sunsets and much more. East Pond is one of the beautiful Belgrade Lakes and is an 1,800 acre spring-fed lake located in the towns of Oakland & Smithfield in Maine. My Little "Peace" of Maine is a charming, tastefully decorated lakeside cottage on East Pond in Oakland, ME which will accommodate 4. It is steps away from the association beach (which is rarely used) with a beautiful view of Sugarloaf Mt. in the distance. Watch amazing sunsets and fall asleep surrounded by fresh Maine air and wake to the cries of the loons. Come enjoy life and REST, RELAX & REJOICE at My Little "Peace" of Maine. Sorry, no pets, no smoking. Blankets and pillows are provided. You must provide your own bed linens and bath towels.

The cottage sleeps up to 4. It has (2) twin beds - 1st floor, (2) two twin beds & a full-size bed - 2nd floor. It has one bath with a large step-in shower. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. It also has cable TV, VCR/DVD combo, BOSE stereo system, internet, new Generac generator, new Rinnai propane heater, well, gas grill & fire pit. For your enjoyment, it has an enclosed sun porch w/electric heat, table & ceiling fans where you can see osprey nesting on the nearby island, blue heron and occasionally bald eagles. There are three kayaks available for those who sign a liability release. There is a public boat launch 1 mile away. Fish in the lake include: bass, trout and perch.

We are located one mile from Camp Manitou, three miles from Camp Matoaka and seven miles from Colby College and Thomas College. Enjoy summertime week-end free  concerts at The Bowl In The Pines (a mini Tanglewood) at The New England Music Camp in nearby Sidney, ME; a 15 min. drive from the cottage. Enjoy area hiking, biking, beautiful scenic drives and many apple orchards in the area including my favorite, North Star Orchard in Madison, ME; a 20 minute scenic drive from My Little "Peace" of Maine. There are also several beautiful golf courses in the area including Belgrade Lakes Golf Course, rated one of the top courses in the country.

Weekly Rental:

$1,350 + $250 damage deposit (refundable) A $350 (non-refundable) deposit is due at booking; $1,250 + 7% Maine Lodging Tax ($94.90)balance due two weeks before arrival.

Weekend Rental:

$600 (3 night stay) + $250 damage deposit (refundable) A $100 (non-refundable) deposit is due at booking; $750 + 7% Maine Lodging Tax ($42) balance due one week before arrival.
