Urban Escape in Sea Ranch

3 Bedroom/2 bath PLUS Guest Cottage with bath and
shower. Views from all rooms in main house of ocean except for loft.
Cable TV in each bedroom (yes, we realize it is "The Sea Ranch", but
we also realize people like TV). We have two hot tubs, one of which
is the largest private hot tub on the Sea Ranch. The large hot tub
has ocean views from the deck, where we keep the BBQ. Hardwood
floors, comfortable furniture. One large dinner/dining table for groups of 8-10 (8
comfortable, 10 if you sit close). We are a chardonnay glass walk
away from the Ocean's edge. We are ocean side of Hwy 1 with a nice
blue water view, and far enough from the Highway so you don't hear
it. We are protected due to the Hedgerow and configuration of the
deck area, so even if it is real windy oceanfront, we are fine. Ping
Pong, garage, courtyard with lots of greenery, and perfect for pets
when you go exploring. They can't get out.

We rent through a management company, but we sometimes offer deals
and ask the management company to abide by them, again, depending on
the situation and dates of rental.

ocean side Hwy 1, Gas BBQ, close to the
golf course (we are on the north side of the Sea Ranch), close to Gualala,
and Point Arena, to the water, etc, etc. You will be happy with our
home.  This house is perfect for one and two
families, and works well for three sometimes.  We rent the main house with or without the guest
cottage if you are a smaller family or group. We never rent only the guest cottage; you either get a key
to it or it remains locked up. There is a ping pong table in one
half of the garage. There is a TV and a 3/4 bath in the guest
cottage. There is a VCR/dvd player in the
main house. Again, a TV in every room. And yes, there is a washer
and dryer. There is also a wood stove. We love pets and kids.

Ocean bluff walks, beach walks, golfing, kayaking on the river and
in the ocean, canoeing, fine dining (seriously), wine tasting,
running, abalone, fishing, shopping, driving to Mendocino for the
day, etc, etc. If you know Sea Ranch, you will love our place. If
you have never been here, we offer a great intro to the area by
staying at this house. Last but not least and again, we love pets
and kids. (Yes, on the Sea Ranch).

There is a calendar for this property, please check the site. $250-
$500+ nightly, rent one week, get one night free. January 2008 can
be had cheap by the week. July and August are $450 a night and $500
respectively, with one night free if you rent a 7 night stay (pay
for six). This rate includes the cottage. We will rent the house
without the cottage for less, but we try and rent to larger groups
who want the house and cottage during this time. PLEASE NOTE: OF ALL
THE VACATION SPOTS IN CALIFORNIA, YOU ARE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A
HOUSE THAT SLEEPS 8-10 PEOPLE FOR $2500-$3000 per week DURING THE
SUMMER MONTHS. UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING AT JED CLAMPIT'S FORMER
RESIDENCE, WHICH I HEAR HAS A RODENT INFESTATION AS OF LAST YEAR. If
you look at rates at any other coastal community in California (and
even Oregon) for the summer time or year round for that matter, our
place is a bargain. Smaller houses can be had here in the Sea Ranch
at a better rate, of course, but they do not have the space,
relative privacy, good location, and convenient proximity to Gualala
for all your upscale shopping needs. :) Nor two hot tubs. We
discount pretty well for weeknight rentals during Jan, Feb, March
depending on how the place is renting, etc. Last minute bookings
generally get a good price...otherwise the house gets lonely.

Short notice rentals, depending on availability and date, receive
variable discount. We love pets and children, and they are welcome.
There is a nominal pet fee for the extra cleaning involved of $50,
regardless of a weekend or a week stay. (Keeps it clean for those
who are allergic to furry varmints, like me).
