vacation rental description
Sweet Home Stay 2 bedroom/1 bath vacation rental, which can accommodate 3 guests, is part of Arcata Stay Lodging Network of Exceptional Accommodations, and is our newest addition to the Network.
It is an early 1950’s era free-standing bungalow with a private fenced yard and garden, located 6 blocks north of Arcata Plaza and 3 blocks from Humboldt State University. This vacation rental is appointed in whimsical mid-century vintage style: the floors are hardwood and Marmoleum, retro accessories and artwork collected by the owners enhance the décor, and the kitchen even features a 1946 O’Keefe & Merritt gas range in pristine condition. In the living room, which has a flat screen TV, wicker furniture with a tropical motif, imparts a vacation cottage feeling. The master bedroom is more traditional and has a queen sleigh bed, armoire with large flat-screen TV, a cozy reading area with a sumptuous overstuffed club chair, and mica reading lamps. The second smaller bedroom has a twin bed, desk, portable TV, and table with a reading lamp. The bathroom features a mint-condition porcelain tub with chrome telephone fixtures and shower conversion. This is an ideal vacation rental for guests who have issues climbing stairs or who seek a fenced yard for child and/or pet safety.
