Double eating, living, and play space make this a perfect home for 2 small families or 1 large family with teenagers. (Please call me if you are interested in renting only one floor of the home - anytime except holidays and weekends during peak season). This house is decorated with motivating photos of skiers, boarders, and climbers and has 13 ceiling - to- floor windows and 2 large decks.  This creates a feeeling of being in the middle of a large playground...which you are.

This quiet home, high in the trees, is 2 miles from the Beech Mountain ski slopes, the golf course and clubhouse, tennis courts, heated Olympic pool, fitness center, and recreation center with kids programs.  There are also nearby hiking and biking trails.

If you prefer a more relaxing vacation at the home, the upstairs has a living room with fireplace and TV/DVD player with a selection of DVDs, board games, and wi-fi internet service.  The dining room has seating for 6 guests and the kitchen is well-equiped with cookware and dining ware.  The master bedroom has a king-size bed and glass-door entrance to the deck.  There is also a twin bedroom and bathroom upstairs.  The upstairs deck has a charcoal grill and casual seating for 6.  This deck has a gate at the stairs to keep a dog or small kids out of trouble.

The upstairs and downstairs share an entrance from the outside and mudroom, but each have a private, secure entrance off the mudroom.

The downstairs has a living room with fireplace, futon, TV/DVD player, and a selection of DVDs and board games as well.  The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, two-burner stove, micro-wave, and full range of cooking and dining ware.  The kitchen table seats four.  Also downstairs are a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom.  The downstairs deck has a large swing on it.

This home is one of the original built on Beech Mountain - with a classic octagon shape and high tongue-in-groove celings supported by large beams.  It is being offered for rent for the first time and has been recently renovated.  It has new paint, new windows, new furniture, new bedding and lighting, and a new TV.  We have also modernized this mountain home by adding a network extender for improved cell service and a Roku box so you can stream movies on your Netflicks account.  We have enjoyed growing up in this home and hope that you will find it a great base for your adventures on Beech Mountain.  For more information, google mybeechhouse

Beech Mountain, at 5,506', is the highest ski resort in Eastern America -and with the highest temperatures in the 70's, it is a great escape from summer heat too.  In winter, there is skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and ice skating - all within 2 miles of our home.  In summer, our Beech Mtn Club membership allows our guests access to swimming, tennis, golf, and the the fitness and recreation centers and programs - again, all within 2 miles of our home.

If you are more adventurous, there are also an abundance of recreational activities - such as rafting, caving, rock climbing, and cross-country skiing - within a 45 minute drive of our home.  Never tried it or don't have the gear?  There are several outfitters and equipment shops nearby to help and several of them are offering discount coupones to my guests. Relax and enjoy exploring Beech Mountain and the surrounding High Country.
