vacation rental description
Ocean view monthly rental, 2 story duplex/townhouse, ideally located, just 50 steps to the beach. Golden sunrises over the ocean greet you most mornings, then breakfast on the deck. Take a few steps over the dune to set up camp at the beach for a day of swimming, shelling and dozing. Dash back to the house in minutes for beverage and snack refills.
It's an easy walk north to Fort Clinch pier or south to restaurants and bars (no dedicated driver needed.) Or hop on one of our rusty beach bikes for a ride on the sandy roads or beach. Take in the sunset on the back deck looking out to the dunes of Clinch State park or enjoy a late afternoon dip in the sea.
Your dog is allowed on our beach 24/7, always on a leash. A fenced back yard keeps him/her happy off leash. City lifeguards are also on the beach most sunny days during the summer for safe swimming.
You will find the interior space comfortable and refreshing with island colors and cottage decor. All cotton sheets and fiber filled duvets on the beds make for comfortable nights.

activities and attractions in Fernandina Beach Atlantic Coast North
Beaching, biking, walking, sunning, minature golf, 10 golf courses, The Ritz Carlton, Fort Clinch and Talbot Island state parks and shopping downtown Fernandina are all within walking distance or a short drive.
Jacksonville concerts, shopping and sightseeing are about a 45 minute drive.
Cumberland Island, harbor tours, kayak tours are within easy reach.
Fernandina Beach is Amelia Island's only town, settled by the French in 1562. Eight flags later, it now belongs to the USA. Downtown was platted in 1853 by David Yulee for his Florida Railroad that never came. The original Spanish town plan remains with buildings dating back to the mid 1800s. Fernandina Beach looks across the harbor to Cumberland Island, GA and Kings Bay Navy base in St. Marys, GA. It is not uncommon to watch a Trident Submarine with its escort ships enter the jetty at the north end of our island.
