The townhouse itself is warm and welcoming, with a full kitchen, outdoor decks, and room for up to eight guests to share the space very comfortably.

On the first floor, the living room has a gorgeous wood-burning fireplace, cable TV, and lots of comfortable seating for cozy movie nights after a day on the slopes. Just behind the living area, a six-person dining table and full kitchen await for home-cooked meals. You'll find all the pots and pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, and appliances needed to prepare hearty breakfasts and dinners (and yes, there is a dishwasher for easy clean-up!).

With two king beds and two bedrooms with two twins apiece, the home is especially well-suited for two small families traveling together. The upstairs loft is the master suite, with a king bed and private entrance to an upper-level balcony. Just off the loft is a full bath, and a small bedroom with a twin bed and trundle. Downstairs, one bedroom has two regular twin-sized beds, and the third bedroom has a king. There are two full baths downstairs, plus a washer/dryer to keep packing light.

The home also comes equipped with wireless Internet for guests who need to stay connected or wish to browse restaurant reviews. The charming town of Avon is within walking distance, with dining options that range from cozy wine bars to laid-back pizzerias, and a handful of outfitters where you can rent outdoor gear.

While skiing and snowboarding may be the big draws in Vail Valley, this townhouse is a wonderful destination at any time of year. The mountains become magnets for hikers and bikers in warmer weather, and the nearby Eagle River offers fantastic rafting and kayaking.
