Weather permitting, head out to the deck, get the charcoal glowing on the grill, and enjoy a barbeque in the fresh air. Hug Point State Park is close by (named for the early settlers who, in the absence of roads, “hugged” the shoreline to move themselves and goods). For more scenic vistas and recreational activities, head 10 miles south to Oswald West State Park. Visit the Cannon Beach History Center and learn about Lewis an Clark’s role in settling the area.
