"Golf View" is set between the 10th green and the 11th tee box and property goes down to the river behind the 2nd tee box where everyone likes to feed the huge trout. From the privacy of the rear deck, you can hear the South Toe River below, calling you to bring your fly rod down to the water`s edge. In the evening, take a short stroll down the cart path to the restuarant and lounge. This finely appointed home features many new furnishings, all the appliances needed to make your stay enjoyable, including dishwasher, washer and dryer, dvd player, and much more. Large parking area will accommodate several vehicles, and is paved. This is truly one of our finest homes in the neighborhood, and is an outstanding choice for golfers and hikers alike. Within 2 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and near Mt Mitchell State Park at 3000` altitude. Central A/C for mid-summer use, otherwise its springtime from March till September. Outstanding home to view fall foilage.

Mount Mitchell Golf Course - Rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest one of the best public courses in the mountains, centered on the South Toe River which comes into play on almost every fairway on the back nine.
Black Mountain Campground - Within the Pisgah National Forest and along the South Toe River watershed on Mount Mitchell`s eastern slope. Hunting, Fishing, waterfalls, hiking trails, RV dump station, RV and tent camping.
Setrock Waterfalls - located at Black Mountain Campground, about 1/2 mile hike, cascading waterfall of over one hundred feet.
Little Switzerland -- quaint shops, great restuarants
Roaring Fork Waterfall - only 1/2 mile from Mount Mitchell Golf Course, one of the most spectacular falls in the area, and a real hidden gem. Its 1/2 mile hike up a forest road, nearly level hike.
