Location:
Located ten minutes off of the Yosemite All-Weather Highway 140 in Midpines, county maintained paved roads connect to Midpines Manor. We do also have a 1 mile (3 minute) shutcut on a county maintained gravel road to Midpines, which takes you to the Merced River, and Yosemite Arch Rock Entrance and saves you ten minutes from taking all paved county roads.
We're about 40 minutes to the All Weather (Hwy 140) using shortcut, and an a little more than an hour South Park (Hwy 41) Yosemite National Park entrances when traffic is light. We’re ten minutes from the historical town of Mariposa, where you’ll find the California State Mining and Mineral Museum, the Mariposa Museum and History Center, many restaurants, and a couple really great gift shops. We are forty minutes from the town of Oakhurst, and an hour from the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino. We’ve provided a loose-leaf notebook to tell you all about the local sites and restaurants.
Midpines Manor top floor:
Midpines Manor top floor has three bedrooms, two full baths, large kitchen, den, large living room, large dining room, breakfast nook, laundry room, large second story east facing entrance deckwith spa and north facing kitchen deck.
The large master bedroom has a king size bed, dresser, bookcase, entertainment center with 32" HDTV with satellite/HBO, ceiling fan, and attached master bathroom. The spacious master bathroom has two sinks, bathtub with fantastic view, shower, toilet, and walk in closet.
The two other upstairs bedrooms share a full bath located right outside their bedrooms doors. The king bedroom has a king bed, dresser, closet and ceiling fan. The bunk bedroom has a double bed, two twin beds in a bunk bed frame, dresser, closet and ceiling fan. There is also a downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet and sink down stairs if needed. The hallway has our Ansel Adams collection, and the manor has other local nuggets like a 1896 map of Yosemite drawn by the 5th Calvary.
The kitchen is stocked with dish, glass and flatware sets of 18. There is stoneware set and a plastic ware set (for outside use). There is a double oven, four burner stove, pots and pans for cooking, along with a rice cooker/steamer, microwave oven, blender, hand mixer, toaster,, coffee maker and coffee bean grinder. The refrigerator is equipped with filtered ice and cold-water dispensers. There is a dishwasher with provided environmental friendly dishwashing soap.
The living room has a magnificent fireplace, 56" HDTV, satellite/HBO and Blue-Ray player, sofa, theater surround sound, recliner and fantastic view. Adjacent den has comptuer and cell phone hookups, queen sofa bed, and privacy panels if sofa bed is used.
The dining room tables seats ten, and can be expanded to seat fourteen with our two extra leaves. A 39" HDTV with satellite/HBO is on swivel bracket for dining room, kitchen or breakfast nook HDTV viewing.
Breakfast nook seats four, has that 39" swivel HDTV option, next to kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and kitchen outdoor deck.
Fairly large upstairs laundry room with washer, dryer, vacuums and cleaning products.
Complimentary fresh coffee beans and cocoa from Mariposa Coffee are included for your stay, along with a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries for stays over 5 days. We stock paper products, soap and shampoo.
Midpines Manor bottom floor:
The bottom floor is mostly garage, but does have a 3/4 bathroom. There is also a queen sofa bed in the garage which we use for our family Thanksgiving overflow.
Wildlife:
Deer and wild turkeys like the river and are present every day on the property even when we bring our dogs. Of course you are bound to spot tree squirrels and perhaps a chipmunk, raccoon, or gray fox. Hawks, turkey vultures, finch and hummingbirds frequent the trees. Kick back and enjoy the show from our two decks.
Our current toll free 855 phone service does not have an option to go to voicemail prior to ten rings if we are unavailable. We thank you in advance for your voicemail patience.
Let us be the home base for your Yosemite Vacation!
