Island Star of North Captiva in North Captiva Island

North Captiva Island is only accessible by boat, small plane or Island Girl Charter, reservations required.  You will find that everyone is very helpful with luggage and grocerys.   You will be met at the dock by our golfcart and our greeter.

This lovely rental, we call The Island Star, is cozy yet spacious.  The living area consists of a full kitchen including toaster, coffee maker Foreman type grill and a blender.  The living room has a full size hide-a-bed sofa, lounger, loveseat and chair, flat screen TV, Dish Network.  WIFI and telephone are also included.   There is a bedroom with queen size bed, bathroom. Dining table and  counter with stools.  The Master bedroom is on the top floor with bathroom and walk-in closet.  The private balcony has a beautiful view of the fresh water lake and the many birds that visit, including Hawks and Bald Eagles. There is another balcony just off of living area.  We are a short walk or golf cart, seats 4, ride from Marina (200 steps), Beach (650 steps), Pool (150 steps), or any of 4 restaurants located on the island.   

We include the golf cart, seats 4, with rental.  The house is just around the corner from the Safety Harbor Club  Swimming Pool and Club House (150 steps).   The Beautiful Private Beach (650 steps) is a short walk also. Small pet allowed. 

You should allow extra time on your trip to the Pineland Marina, as you will go thru an artsy little community town, MATLACHA.  A great place to stop for souviniers and lunch, before continueing to the marina to catch the ferry.

Whether you fish from the dock, bring your own boat or charter, you will surely have a great time and maybe even a great meal of fresh fish.  This island is known for its shells and there is a 4 mile private beach to search.  From the beach or the dock you can spot porpoises playing and manatees rolling around, skates and starfish are also sighted.   Enjoy the jogging and walking trails around the lake or ocean as you take in nature.  As there are no motorized vehicles, except for fire department, it is a great place to relax and a wonderful place for a honeymoon!

my rates don't change very often, I try to keep them low, they include boat dockage, golf cart, 4 miles of awsome (almost deserted) beach, club house with heated swimming pool with chairs, lounges and umbrellas with gas grill.   There is a minimum 3 day stay.
