This is a flexible 3700 square foot family home designed and
equipped for comfortable, casual enjoyment. We have the unique
flexibility to accommodate large or small groups or club
events such as family reunions, wedding receptions, off-site
corporate meetings/getaways, church or club events, and other
special gatherings. (Rooms are as large as 32 feet, total sleeping
as many as 20 or as few as 4, with up to 6 private bedrooms plus
pullouts.)
The variations are described below onder headings of Main House A
and Apartment B.
A unique feature of this house is that both levels are, in fact, at
ground level since the driveway wraps around the house to the up-
hill side. No stair climbing required if small children or elderly
are part of your party! In addition to the individual
inside amenities listed below, the property provides one+ acre of
natural space with huge rock outcroppings, large trees, views, many
parking spaces, RV parking, 60 foot long deck, 60 foot long concrete
patio, and good old elbow room.
Our Meadowview home is aptly named as it faces a 1400 acre meadow
surrounded by mountains, a rare feature in this spectacular mountain
area. It is a modern family home with the comfort, conveniences,
size and amenities that few possess. The south-facing deck itself
is 60 feet long - great for viewing the mountains and for counting
the millions of stars at night.
The neighborhood is quiet. You may encounter dozens ofelk not only
in the meadow but in our yard and driveway!
This home is located at 8500 foot elevation, one block off the
main highway into Estes Park, state highway 36, about 3 miles from
the center of town. These surroundings allow your stay to be as
casual and peaceful, or as busy and hectic, as you wish.
Main House "A" and Apartment "B" are designated as separate, but
combinable, rental homes with descriptions as follows:
Meadowview Main House "A"
The larger home area (approximately 2700 square feet) consists of a
country kitchen, dining area, living room, four private bedrooms,
downstairs game room, 2.5 baths, and the 60 foot deck. Sleeping
arrangements allow for 8 to 10 privately (in the 4 bedrooms) plus 4
to 6 more
in
pullout couches in the living and game rooms. Other features are:
breakfast bar and bar stools, oak cabinets fully equipped with
dishware, glassware, pots and pans, etc; living area with vaulted
ceiling and large picture windows; dining area with table and
chairs; cast iron wood burning stove (with firewood); and screened
windows to let in that fresh mountain air.
Meadowview Apartment "B"
This 1000 square foot portion of the lower level can be locked off
as a separate unit with its own private double door entrance, or
combined with the main house for 3700 usable square feet. It
includes, all on ground level, a huge 32 foot long great room with
living, dining and kitchen areas, propane fired "wood stove", knotty
pine wood ceilings and trim, 2 bedrooms, large 4 piece bathroom with
jetted Jacuzzi tub, utilty room and 60 foot long concrete patio.
Private sleeping for 4 is provided with one additional convertible
pullout couch available in the great room.
Similar outfitting with kitchenware, bedding, satellite TV/DVD, etc
is included.
Estes Park, Colorado, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park,
is known world-wide as a beautiful mountain recreation area without
comparision! Estes Park is within 35-40 miles of the Colorado Front
Range cities of Boulder, Longmont, Loveland and Fort Collins, and is
about 1.5 hours drive from Denver and Denver International Airport.
