Enjoy an Island Get-away

Take a dip in pristine blue waters. Snorkel through shipwrecks, or set sail for a peaceful evening
under the stars. This two-story, ocean-front Florida Keys home is the ideal locale for busy
executives, families, retirees and vacationers alike. Developers thoughtfully considered every last
detail when designing and constructing this architectural masterpiece – from its breathtaking,
scenic ocean views to its high-definition flat-panel televisions in the living room and all four

The temperate Florida Keys provide an atmosphere all their own, with idyllic tropical temperatures,
clear, shallow waters and white sandy beaches. Step onto its shores and wrap yourself in its
serenity. Steeped in tradition and history, The Keys have provided a rejuvenating retreat for the
likes of Ernest Hemingway, who penned his infamous novel A Farewell to Arms while living on the
islands, and Tennessee Williams, who regularly visited and eventually purchased a home on its shores.

Marathon, coined the Heart of the Florida Keys, is located at the center of the island chain and
connected to the southern islands by the famous Seven Mile Bridge, the longest fragmented bridge in
the world built in 1985 adjacent to its original counterpart. The bridge, offering a scenic view of
the Atlantic ocean’s sparkling waters, hosts its annual Seven Mile Bridge Run and has been featured
in several movies including True Lies, 2 Fast 2 Furious, License To Kill and Up Close and Personal.
Anglers are drawn to its “longest fishing pier in the world”, where they can catch dolphin fish,
yellowtail and barracuda.

With incredibly mild seasons, the Keys rise and fall just 12 to 20 degrees year-round. Residents and
visitors enjoy average 70 degree Januarys and 80 to 90-degree summer months. Warm tropical showers
and thunderstorms roll through the shores between May and October, creating an extraordinarily
moody, romantic and dramatic ambiance.

Key West’s cobalt-colored waters and coral reefs are a haven for scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing,
kayaking and boating. Sport fishermen flock to its waters, with 10 percent of the world’s salt fish
records set just off the shores. Visit the Adelaide Baker historic shipwreck, Coffin’s Patch, Telta
Shoals and the famous Thunderbolt wreck dive site. Swim with dolphins or indulge in local Eco Tours.
The opportunities are limiteless.

Arts abound at the nearby Tennessee Williams Theater, while The Key West Literary Seminar draws
hundreds of new and well-known creative writers each January. The Key West Lighthouse and Keeper’s
Quarters Museum provides an intimate view of the historic 1847 lighthouse.

This sunrise home is a home redefined. Its impeccable construction, gourmet kitchen, modern charm,
secluded setting and nautical accommodations make it the ideal setting for rest and relaxation.

Fabulous Vacation

Review submitted: June 21, 2011   Date of arrival: June 10, 2011

This was our family's first time renting this vacation house and it was wonderful! There were 7 of us total - 5 adults and 2 children, and there was more than enough room. The beds are extremely comfortable. The shower in the 1st floor master is hard to beat. Carolyn , the owner, and Connie , the local agent, both called to make sure we had everything we needed.
The house is situated in a very quiet area, and there are signs asking to keep noise to a minimum after 9pm. I think the noisiest moment we experienced was when the gardening crew arrived unannounced with hedge clippers. Otherwise, it is incredibly peaceful.
There are a lot of steps everywhere in this house, so it may not be a great choice if someone has difficulty with this.
My favorite time of day was early morning, drinking coffee on the dock, watching the boats. One morning, I saw dolphins swimming by!
My girls , ages 11 years old and 6 years old, stayed so long in the pool I thought they might develop gills. We grilled lunch and dinner a few times by the pool.
Being in Marathon, we were able to explore the surrounding keys easily, and had easy access to many great restaurants. A few of our favorites are The Wooden Spoon (for breakfast), Porky's, the Sunset Grill, the Keys Fisheries, and Lazy Days. We spent an afternoon at the Turtle Hospital and a morning at the Dolphin Research Center, both of which were very enjoyable. It was nice to be able to do something for 1/2 a day, and within 10 minutes, be back at the house swimming and relaxing.
We stayed 1 week at the house, then stayed 2 days at the Hilton Key Largo. The Hilton was also very nice, but there is definitely something to be said for having your own private pool and mixing your own margaritas that don't cost $14 a piece.
Overall, it was a great experience. We would definitely come here again!

Paradise Living

Review submitted: May 3, 2011   Date of arrival: April 22, 2011

We just stayed at this amazing home. Upom arrival the house and property were cleaned to perfection and exactly like the pictures listed on this site. Every room had a fabulous view of the ocean. The kitchen came stocked with everything you need to cook a full meal and the beds were cozier than some 5 star hotels I have stayed at. The heated pool kept our 4 children (ages 3-8) entertained for endless hours. We had some questions at first and the owners always answered their phone and were incredibly helpful and kind. We brought our own boat but the water at the dock was too shallow to keep it at the house. We kept it at Banana Bay resort and Marina which is about a mile down the road. There are many stores in the area but I think the kids may have gotten bored if we didn't have the boat. We were able to fish, snorkel and explore many private and public beaches. We ate dinner every night in the house which helped keep our costs down and drove to Key West one day to have lunch and see the sunset. I would highly suggest this home to anyone looking for a peaceful paradise get away. I hope to come back!!!!
