vacation rental description
This beautifully remodeled ranch in the woods is a perfect escape for you, your family and even your horses. This cozy home boasts walking distance to the Dismal Falls and all that surrounds, in the Jefferson National Forest. This is the best of both worlds! Finally you don't have to choose between a good place to ride or hike and a niced place to stay! This lovely three bedroom one bath house has every comfort of home. It accommodates it's guest with 1 king 1 queen and a bunk bed for the kids! The house is merely a place to rest, it's the outside that has it all to offer. No
matter if you ride a horse, mountain bike or just like to hike it's all within an arm's reach. The Appalachian Trail runs parallel to the house. The Flat Top Trail System is a combination of forest roads and woodland trails to make up 20 miles of hiking and riding fun! Unlike the horse camp located a mile or two up the road, this home does accept reservations! This home has water and a
bathroom. If you love the woods but also like getting clean and putting your feet up this is the perfect place for you! The property consists of approx. 2.5 acres adjoining
the National Forest in the rear and Dismal Creek (a Virginia fisheries stocked
trout stream) in the front. We offer approx. an acre of fenced corral for your horses.

house rental amenities
Nestled in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, Bland county is a hidden jewel, somewhat forgotten. It's very quiet and peaceful. We are centrally located just far enough away from Roanoke, Bluefield, Charlotte, N.C etc.. to keep the country life at the forefront of our everyday lives. The house is conveniently located at the end of the state maintained road just at the edge of the Forest line. The Appalachian Trail is accessible from two different locations both of which are within a mile walk of the house. The Falls of Dismal are only a half mile walk and are wonderful to visit in any season. We have some local Amish families so be careful as you drive in as there
is often a horse and buggy traveling the road. There is a wonderful Amish family that has a lovely grocery store about 6 miles away.
