Ponderosa River Retreat in New Braunfels

Interested in tubing or just kicking back for a restful vacation as
you listen to the sounds of the river below the beautiful waterfront
deck?
If so, this nicely decorated house is perfect for you! It is
located at Little Ponderosa in New Braunfels, Texas and sits on 141
feet of Guadalupe River frontage. The house has stained glass
windows, a fenced yard, a deck with picnic area, and DIRECT RIVER
ACCESS so it is perfect for playing or just relaxing as you watch
others float in the river below.
If you are a lover of antiques, the house is less than 5 minutes
from the towns of New Braunfels and Gruene, which provide antique
shops as well as many unique shops where artisans of the area sell
their wares. Great barbeque as well as an assortment of German
restaurants are also located within a 5 minute drive. You will be
close to several outlet malls. If you get tired of playing in the
river, "Schlitterbahn," a wonderful waterpark, is located in New
Braunfels. Not only does Gruene have lots of shopping and good
food, it is also the home of the famed "Gruene Hall" which is the
oldest dance hall in Texas, and has seved as a springboard for many
Texas musicians such as George Strait! It's a great place for
dancing or just enjoying the live music. You may also enjoy
learning the famous Texas Two-Step!
Boating, water-skiing and sailing can be found at Canyon Lake. The
drive up River Road to the lake is notably one of the most scenic
areas in Texas. Watch out for deer and other wildlife along the way!
You will be a short 35 mile drive from San Antonio where you will
find Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Seaworld, the famed San Antonio
Riverwalk as well as fantastic Mexican food. The Alamo, along with
several other missions is located there and there are numerous tour
buses that take you to experience the sights and sounds of San
Antonio.
The state capitol of Texas is located 45 minutes away in Austin,
which has great nightlife featuring many of Texas' finest
musicians. You never know what great and noted name will appear at
some little out of the way bar!
For you golfers, there are courses located in New Braunfels and San
Antonio. In addition, Austin is home of some of the finest courses
America has to offer.

The location is the best on the river. You can float in the river
or raft it, find a nice place to sit on the limestone outcropping to
watch others play, or just enjoy the privacy of your own deck as you
relax. During the fall, there are many festivals in the area
including "Oktoberfest" and "Wurstfest."
The house has covered parking, featuring a deck on the water. It
has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Sleeping arrangements are 1 queen bed,
4 full beds, 4 twin beds, and a sleeper sofa. The house has central
air conditioning, along with a washer and dryer, and accommodated 12-
15 people.
There is a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, and
lots of dishes. You will need to provide your own linens (towels,
washclothes, sheets, and pillowcases) and pillows.
*****We rent only to persons over the age of 25 and a major credit
card is required****** A parent must accompany students. Sorry, no
exceptions.

Summer: $500.00 Night/Weekday, $650.00 Night/Weekend - 3 night
minimum
$2200.00 Weekly
Winter: $250.00 Nightly - $900.00 Weekly
A $300.00 damage/security deposit is required in advance. If the
house is left in good condition, the deposit will be refunded. We
require 90 days notice of cancellation or date change. A 10% sales
tax is applied to the rental fee.
