2nd Year

Review submitted: April 10, 2014   Date of arrival: March 1, 2014

After the second March of renting this unit I would say it is the best value. Can't beat the location or the activities around it. Owner is helpful and the property is neat. I would recommend renting here to anybody.

Just what we needed

Review submitted: February 9, 2014   Date of arrival: December 30, 2013

We recently had the fortunate experience of staying in this Beach accommodation. The unit itself was clean and upgraded nicely, equipped with all the amenities, very private and most of all the Beach. The Beach was perfect, we stayed for the month of January and almost daily took the short path through the rear yard to the Beach which is endless. Walked barefoot for hours, water temperature was similar to our northern lakes in the summer, so often we waided in up to our waists, couple of times we even went swimming.

Located right in the midst of great restaurants, grocery stores, the Publix is a 10 minute walk and not a tourist trap, we ranked it better than our own grocery store. We loved the restaurant in the Discovery resort one block over, great food and incredible prices. We also tried the Backwoods Steakhouse, very good, the Japanese Steakhouse on A1A across from Dunkin Donuts, a great experience, shrimp was some of the best we have ever had, but overall a bit pricey. A great BBQ spot 3 blocks up Wilson st, we enjoyed once but could hardly walk home afterwards.

We did however cook most of our meals in the Beach Bungalow, it has a great covered patio area in the rear yard and we BBQed regular. The Beef from the Publix was good, we did try the Cape Canaveral Meat Shop, but Publix was comparable and closer.

We slept each night with the window open and truly listened to the crash of the waves, you could even feel them somenights, We slept soundly. We really did not understand the significance of the area, but soon discovered that it is a favorite Surfing spot and most days we sat on the Beach after our walk and watched the surfers. The pier was also great for watching the Surfers and has good restaurants as well. We highly recommend the Atlantic Grill, we had several of our Children join us for 4 days and we had a great evening dinner at the Grill, I had Mahi Mahi for the first time and it was great, Steaks were excellent as well.

The neighbors, some snowbirds mixed in with permanent residents, made us feel right at home. George from across the street was really helpful and friendly, but certainly not in your face, just down right friendly. Same goes for our Proprieters. Aric and Camilla, welcomed us on our arrival, and spent some time explaining various things and encouraged us to ask questions, very nice and friendly people. We look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
