Capetos in Chicxulub

This is our family summer house so you can imagine how much love and care there is. All you have to bring is your bathing suite, clothes and food.

It´s the perfect place to rest, read, take a walk on the shore or a “siesta” and enjoy the soft sea breeze. Also great for a swim since the water is shallow and has no strong tides.

I think it’s the only place on the world where you can see the sun since the sunrise till the sunset over the sea.

It’s a really nice, cozy and confortable house. Very peaceful with no tourist, discos, bars yet close to larger cites where you can find more action.

Merida, capital of Yucatan, and only 35 minutes from the beach house, is a colonial city that’s counts with a international airport with direct flights from Miami, Houston, Mexico D.F. and Monterrey.

Cancun is a 3 hrs. drive and has better options of flights where you can rent a car and drive because you will absolutely need a car here.

Progreso main port of Yucatan its only 10 min. away where you can find supermarkets, market place, restaurants, banks, etc.

The house counts with 3 spacious bedrooms upstairs, each one with a bathroom, 1 with a wall to wall closet, and 2 with walking closets. Two bedrooms have A/C.

Also there is an extra room downstairs with closet and bathroom. All rooms with ceiling fans.

There is an extra bathroom with shower with a door to the inside and a door to the terrace and pool area.

Also the house has a living room, dinning room to seat 8 (both with ceiling fans) and the kitchen completely equipped.

The house is fully furnished with:

Stove, refrigerator, microwave, oven, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, blender, silverware and dishes, serving dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, pyrex, baking dishes, wine opener, water cooler and a lot of kitchen appliances.

Merida is only 35 min. away where you can find nice restaurants, bar, dancing, Wal-mart, Costco, Sam´s, Friday´s, etc. Also, you can make arrengments to play golf at the Ceiba a local golf club.

Progreso is the main port of Yucatan, where the cruises arrive is only 10 min. by car. Here is a market, supermarkets, banks, a small hospital and the ”Malecon”, which is a long nice sidewalk along the seashore where there are a lot of restaurants and activates like fishing, sailing, kayaking, banana rides, rental of wave runners, buggy cars or visit the mangroves (we call it ”paseo del corchito”) to see what we call “ojo de agua” (eye water) that is a sweet water that emanates between salty water.

Chicxulub is a tiny town where you can find the basic things and just 5 min. away. If your lucky you can see the flamingos and others birds or you can make arrangements with local people for fishing.

The nearly mayan ruins are:

Xcambo 10 min.

Dzibichaltun 20 min. towards Merida.

Uxmal and Chichen-Itza 90 min

And more like the “ruta Puuc“, very interesting.

Izamal

Tizimin

Valladolid where you can visit the “Casa del Venado”.

Yucatan counts with cenotes (is a deep natural pit, groundwater underneath) and several haciendas that have been beautifully restored and have good traditional food.
