Villa Lara - 5 bedroom 5 bath luxury house in Hollywood

This is the perfect vacation house. Over 4,000 square feet on a 20,000 square foot lot. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. There are also two cottages (one bedroom one bath each) in the backyard. One has a full kitchen in it as well. Game room with African wood floors, a Brunswick billiards table (probably the best in the world) and an in ceiling speaker system. 2 bars (indoor and outdoor), swimming pool, outdoor hot tub for 6 people with 56 jets...

Master bedroom's bath has LED embedded into the honey Onyx walls, marble floors and granite counter tops, 2 onyx sinks with LED lights embedded underneath to light it up. Master bedroom has its own in ceiling 4 speaker sound system, all you need to do is plug in your ipod/iphone... Apple TV in the master bedroom with a flat panel television and a sony playstation which is also a Blueray DVD player.

Huge kitchen with stainless steel appliances, double built in stainless steel ovens, instant hot water, garbage disposal, including two wine coolers and 2 ice making machines, piano and a guitar for those musically inclined.

The main house has two other bedrooms. Both bedrooms have bathrooms and both have walk in closets that are completely empty. Both have dressers and both have flat panel televisions with Apple TV. One guest bedroom has an xbox with some games.

There are also two couches in the house if you really are trying to squeeze in.

The house is filled with art that I have collected over the years. These include famous Miami artists such as Romero Britto (2 pieces) and Miguel Parades. I also have a piece from Nathan Sawaya who makes art from Lego pieces and a piece from J.S.G. Boggs whose works are in the MOMA, the British Museum, the Smithsonian... 

The house has a separate outdoor covered grilling area and I always have extra tanks of propane on hand in case the first one runs out.

I have an outdoor fire barrel that has three pieces of art engraved on the outside that lights up once the fire is going for those rare cold Florida nights but it is cool to use in the summer as well.

There is a computer that is connected to the internet and a printer available for your use. Simply log in as guest.

House is in a quiet dead end street on one of the nicest parts of Hollywood, Florida. The house next door to me was formerly Jackie Gleason's house (9,000 square feet...).  Its under 3 miles from one of the best beaches in South Florida (Hollywood Beach) which also has an amazing boardwalk. In fact Hollywood Beach has been ranked by Fodor's as one of the top beaches in Florida for families.

It is less than 1 mile from over 50 bars, restaurants, wine bars, clubs, chocolate shops... in downtown Hollywood and best of all even though they are great and upscale the prices are very reasonable especially compared to South Beach.

Right next to my house is an Italian specialty food market which has a huge assortment of fully cooked foods so that you can buy and reheat. Also right next to my house (without needing to go the one mile to downtown Hollywood) is a great Cuban restaurant called Laura's, a sushi/thai place and a Mediterranean pita grill. There is also a great bagel place for breakfast.

The house is amazingly central to everywhere else you want to be. the house is located 7 miles (less than 10 minute drive) from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and 21 miles from Miami International (20-25 minute drive).

It is located 15 minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale (Los Olas street) which is where most of the live music in South Florida is and 10 minutes from the new Hard Rock Casino and hotel with its huge entertainment district. This a multi billion dollar development with huge clubs, bars, restaurants, a 3,000 person live music venue, a comedy club and of course the largest casino in south Florida.

To get to downtown Miami there is an express highway lane which is essentially a special toll road that never has traffic.  Included in the stay will be a "sun pass" transponder so you can go back and forth to south beach or downtown Miami in about 15 minutes without any traffic and the tolls are on me.

It is also only 45 minutes to the everglades and it is close to the highway that leads to both the Florida keys or North to Orlando for any day trips...

There is a water cooler with 5 gallons of water so your entire stay you can drink complimentary bottled water. There are additional water bottles available in the event that it runs out.

The house will come with shampoo, soap and toilet paper... We usually stock with Bed Bath and Beyond shower gels in all the bathrooms. There will be 2 fresh towels per bed as well and all linens will be freshly laundered.

A few complimentary bottles of champagne and beer will be available to you to enjoy yourself even more.

There is a washer/dryer you can use along with the detergent.

Of course there is also wireless internet.

There will be breakfast foods such as milk, cereals, yogurts, pancake mix, oatmeal, eggs and orange juice in the fridge.

I will also have a cellular phone for you to use to make and receive calls and texts in the US if you are coming from abroad.

There is a playpen for infants that is available to guests.

Our company has a full time property manager so any problems you encounter you are able to call him  and we will take care expeditiously. The house is all brand new so there really should not be any problems.

Maid service is available at an addition cost of $150 for a full day. Private chef is also available to grill for you at a cost of $35 an hour. They will also do the shopping and clean up as well.

Fantastic golf options start less than 5 minutes from the house ranging from super cheap to super expensive.  Orangebrook is the closest. Built in 1933 the 36 hole course has burrowing owls (small owls that live on the ground) that you can see each time you play.

All of the best gaming in southern florida is located within 15 minutes of the house including Mardi Gras Casino and Racetrack, Dania Beach Jai Alai, and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The house is 4 miles from the Anne Kolb Nature Center a 1,501-acre coastal mangrove wetland that's home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including some threatened and endangered species. You can rent Kayak's and canoes there and follow the boat trails.

High Season - November 15th - January 15th = $700 per night.

Mid season - January 15th - April 15th (excluding WMC and Fort Lauderdale Boat Show) = $600 per night.

Low season April 15th - November 15th = $500 per night.
