A great house for family & friends vacations. The town of Zancudo offers local supermarkets, bakery, bars and restaurants. And, of course, deserted beaches on this 3.5 acre beach front estate home. Our beach is kid friendly for swimming, snorkeling & fishing. Bring in your boat/jet ski on our river road located across the road. Fresh spring drinking water from the city water plant.  Liquor/vegetable/cheese truck comes to your door twice weekly. Hang in the hammocks on the 75" exotic wood veranda & watch local fishing boats & the local wildlife. Occasionally large cruise ships comes into the bay to have a look a the famous Osa Peninsula.

House features large cooking facilities. Full dining room, out door and indoor with french doors opening onto the 75 foot veranda. What's your level of Surfing?

Beginner • Intermediate • Extreme

Guests of the Zancudo Beach House have boards to use for all levels of surfing. Lessons available for all ages. Beginners and Intermediate level surfers can surf right in Zancudo.  If you are flying into Golfito, We'll pick you up by boat. It's just a 15 minute ride to Zancudo. Here are some of the locations for the Extreme Surfer.

1) Playa Matapalo: Steep right hand wave that breaks best at mid tide offering fast rides. Faces the open Pacific ocean. Known to be a consistent break. Matapalo Point across from the bay from Pavones offers three extraordinary and outstanding types of surf breaks for the More Experienced Surfer; Accessible by boat.
2) Backwash: Fun for Long boarding. A large and slow right breaks over a majestic reef in the middle of the Backwash Bay. A steep beach makes the waves great for long boarding. The breaks are exposed to offshore winds which blow in from the north or north east. A great place to surf for the avid and experienced surfer. Can be dangerous due to the rocks and riptides.
3) Pan Dulce: Best surf are on large south swells at mid tide. Long right break over a rocky bottom. Fast and Fun
4) Playa Pavones is located in the Southern Pacific Zone of Costa Rica. Pavones boast one of the longest left break in the world.  Some surfers would argue..it's the longest. Ride up to three minutes if you can! Once you catch the long ride, you life is changed forever!
5) Punta Burica  (South of Pavones)  Remote & powerful reef breaks located on the very tip of Costa Rica on the border of Panama.
6) Punta Banco with breaks rights and lefts is also a powerful ride. Located just south of Pavones. Most locals will say the best conditions are at mid to high tide with swells coming from the south or the west.

Located in the heart of the fishing community of Playa Zancudo, boats have immediate, direct access to the Pacific Ocean.  Large, small and in-between sized boats for hire. * Most record holding Captains and Mates available. We are prepared to handle small and large groups for the fishing experience of a lifetime. Fishing is our area has the most abundant & fertile fishing grounds in the world. *In September this year, one of our guest caught a 45 lb. snook off the beach in front of the house.
