vacation rental description

Newly sided, 5 Bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 story home with open floor plan on 1 acre of land. Includes 3 season room with dining area, new carpet; couch, chairs, and a small air hockey table. Newly remodeled 15' by 38' living room area on lower level with tv/dvd/air hockey table. Lower level also has a newer full bath with granite counter, tub/shower. Two large bedrooms each with 2 twin beds with very good mattresses that can convert to king beds, and a small bedroom with a twin bed with a new mattress. A large a/c unit cools the entire downstairs.

The upper level has a remodeled kitchen with Energy Star appliances - new garbage disposal, new dishwasher and new microwave, Jennair grill, tiled floors, new lighting and countertops/backsplash, all new pots and pans, silverware, and cutlery. Ceiling fan. There are 2 sliders out to a large deck with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. Upstairs has a large living room with 2 new leather sofas, fireplace, stereo, television, dvd and vcr. The master bedroom has new carpeting, a new king size bed/mattress, a/c, tv, and half bath. 1 full bath off hallway with tub/shower. Second bedroom with a new king size bed, new carpeting, and a/c. New, high efficiency washing machine; dryer.

New Weber gas grill.

Beach pass to our association's beach with private parking.

Trustom Pond and Ninigret Park nature trails are close by and are great for families with children of all ages. They also have free admission. Great restaurants are nearby. Close to University of RI.

It is hard to believe that another year has gone by. We have rented this house for one week every summer for the past 5 years. It is situated on a quiet street but yet is only a short drive to the ocean (Charlestown Beach and the Breachway), Ninigret pond (which our kids loved to swim and fish in when they were little), shopping and of curse our favorite ice cream place! We have had wonderful barbeques on the massive deck, held family game night in the brand new kitchen and had move night in the downstairs family room. It is only a short ride to Point Judith were you can catch the ferry to Block Island or grab a wonderful seafood dinner. Every year the house is immaculate and the owners are constantly making improvements. Can't wait to hear what improvements are in store for us next year! We have made some wonderful family memories here.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Beautiful beach house on 1 acre, beach 1.5 mi.

We (two families) have rented in Rhode Island for the past seven years and have rented this property for the past four years.

This house, by far, has been the best for our family situation. We love the way the first floor has bedrooms, a bath w/shower and living area with a tv where our college-aged kids who vacation with us can basically have their own space.

The adult area (the main floor upstairs) is spacious, with a nicely stocked kitchen and large deck. Also, having a washer and dryer on the premises is certainly a great help.

The pass to the private beach is a definite plus.

We like the Rhode Island area because it's more laid back and less conjested in the summer than the Cape. There's enough for us to do in addition to going to the beach. The boys golf a couple of times during the week. We enjoy walking around Newport or Watch Hill, both of which are close by. Block Island is also a fun day trip.

The owners have been very accomodating to us over the past four years. The entire rental process has always been a positive experience. Our only suggestion would be that it might be time for a new grill!
