Great Location for a Mountain Vacation--The Loft in Glenwood Springs

Location:In downtown Glenwood Springs, Colorado only 40 minutes to Aspen or 55 minutes to Vail and only 30 minutes to the Eagle-Vail airport.

Description:Stay in downtown just steps form Glenwood's best restaurants where nearly every activity is within easy walking distance.  Built in the late 1800's, our loft is located in what was once the Palace Hotel.  It is now the 2nd floor of the Watersweeper Building.  It has been completely renovated, but with some of the old things still in tact.  Look at the doors;  they are the original ones from the 1890's with the room numbers still on them.  Doc Holiday is rumored to have stayed here.

Going up the stairs you will find yourself on a great, large deck with a stone top table, fire pit and BBQ.  Go thru the door into the enclosed sun porch and sitting area.  Enter the main door and you are in the old hotel hallway.  On the left is the western bedroom with a queen bed.  On the right is the master bedroom with a king bed occupying what was once two hotel rooms.  Next is the bath and laundry with a washer and dryer behind doors,  a toilet in one room, a vanity and jacuzzi tub in another and a vanity and shower in yet another.  On the right ahead is the library-game room....perfect!   In the front you will find a complete kitchen with everything you could need and the dining room-living room area to complete a wonderful loft tastefully decorated with a great blend of old and new.
