Best family vacation

We frequently stay in Orlando and always rent a hotel sometimes several hotels for our large family. This was the first time I ever looked at getting a house and I am so happy that I did! Not only was the house beautiful but it was comfortable. We planned on going to Disney for 3 of the days we were in town but ended up only going once and spending the rest of the time by the pool. We had a total of 10 people and wish I knew how big the house really was because I would have invited more people. We are already planning our next vacation and will only be staying here. If you are looking to have a great vacation then I would rent this home. We had in our group 7 adults 2 three year olds and a 13 year old. Not one complaint the entire week. The owner was extremely pleasant to work with especially considering I had a million questions because I never rented a home before.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway

Don't bother with this one!

This is a partial list I sent to the owner after my stay to let her know what was going on in her home. This property is a mess. It looks great in the pictures but don't be fooled like my family was. The management company does not respond when called about problems.

1.ROACHES, absolutely gross.

2. MOLD in the washer.....the smell is horrible and if the door isn't closed to the room it permeates the whole downstairs.


MOLD in some of the bathrooms.

MOLD in the refrigerator in the garage.

3. Child proof pool fence is broken and held together with a pink ribbon. You are also unable to connect the actual gate because it will not pull together because of this break.

4. Locks on back door broken. Front lock was broken the first day.

5. Broken headboard in boys room......actually it isn't attached to the bed.

6. Multiple broken and lose floor tiles.

7. FILTHY carpets, these carpets are stained so badly they should be replaced. They are not just stained but also have crusted areas in them.

8. Missing fire alarm in upstairs bedroom.

9. Broken furniture handles and drawers that wouldn't close properly.

10. No glasses,there were four small juice glasses for 9 people to drink out of

11. Garbage overflowing in barrels outside.

12. Blinds that were knocked down.

13. Of the 9 TV's all except for two stopped working on the third day. Agent informed never came to fix.

14. Dishwasher would not turn on or work properly.

15. Multiple lights need to be replaced. Master bedroom downstairs in ceiling does not work at all.

16. Multiple holes in walls.

17. Game room has paint cans on floor that can be accessed by children. Air hockey table has no access to a plug to turn it on. Black magic marker with graffiti on walls and frig that has mold in it.

18. Baby's highchair filthy and cover with mold on the tray and seat.

19. Chairs in kitchen were broken, my daughter sat in one the first day and it collapsed and she fell to the ground.

20. Pool was dirty. The walls of the pool have visible dirt on them.

22. No toilet paper holders in some of the bathrooms. No towel holders in most.

Owner knew of many of these complaints. She offered $50.00 compensation which was not asked for. This was insulting...I thought thought we should have gotten back at least half of the rental for having to live with....ROACHES...for a week!

Great trip

We rented this property for 4 adults and 5 kids ranging from age 17-2. It was the perfect size for our party, even leaving one bedroom unused. It was located in a very secure neighborhood that you must check in with when you arrive and then show a security guard a pass every time you enter the resort. The resort is beautiful and quiet. Personally we didn't go to any of the extras the resort offers but saw many people enjoying them along with lots of morning walkers. The location to Disney world is fantastic. We even came home and let the kids swim and take naps then headed back to Disney after ward because it was so close. Realistically it is a ten minute drive to the Disney parks about 25-30 to universal. The house is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, which is closed off with a soft fence. Beds were all comfortable and the kids enjoyed the game room although they could use some better pool sticks. The only one thing I would suggest is that they open up what we assume was a locked pantry. We had to stack all our food on the cabinets, which isn't really a problem but more of an eye sore. The owners were great and easy to work with and very prompt with replies. I would recommend this house to others :)
