Montpelier Getaway in Montpelier

1 family home within walking distance (1 mile) of Montpelier.  10 + acres for privacy, yet there are neighbors.  Relax in a comfy, warm atmosphere-house is passive solar, with beautiful views of Killington mountain and Camel's Hump. Cross country ski or snow shoe on property or drive up to the Morse Farm Nordic Center is up the road 1 mile.  Near are many towns with lots to keep you busy, or just relax in this house with many wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.

First floor has 2 bedrooms with queen beds. Master bedroom has a TV with Comcast cable and internet-WiFi thruout the house.  The downstairs bath has a tub with shower.  Also a laundry with washer and dryer.  Second floor  has a full kitchen with all the appliances, cookware, dinnerware and small kitchen appliances, just ready for a cook if need be. An island where 4 people can sit for a meal is also there.  Large livingroom with a TV, DVD player, should you have a larger family.  A bathroom with a shower is on this floor. Good sized diningroom -will fit 6 comfortably, stereo with CD player here.  Third floor "study" has 2 couches (queen size) with great views on the north and south side.  Books, and games are available too.  There is an "open' concept-not many walls on the 2nd floor.  There is also a graden room just off the diningroom.  Three steps down or there is a stairglide to help.  This room has many flowers to make you believe it really isn't winter outside and some comfy chairs to relax in.  There is a handicapped bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink.

Lots of games and toys for the kids, plus variety of DVD's and CD's.

It is possible to cross country ski on the property or snow shoe.  The Morse Farm Nordic Center is less than 1 mile up the road with its cross country ski trails.  Stowe is 30 minutes away. Killington is approximately 45 minutes.  Sugarbush (Mad River ski area) is 30 minutes. Bolton is 40 minutes.  Each of these areas, -including Montpelier, have shops and great restaurants.  If you are looking for larger communities, Hanover, NH is 50 minutes away, Burlington is 40 minutes and Montreal is 2 hours.  There are museums, Nature areas ( North Branch, VINS in Quechee and ECHO in Burlington) and theaters in Montpelier or surrounding areas.  Workout gyms,  indoor pools, and indoor tennis courts are closeby.  If you should skate-you are in the right place--many indoor skating rinks.

We require a $500 dollar security deposit.  It will be refunded within 4 days as long as none of the rental agreements are broken.  

We are pleased to accept VISA, Master Card, Discover and American Express.  Half of the rate is due at booking with the remaining amount due 1 week prior to your reservation.  

There is a cleaning fee of $125.oo for each rental.

 Plus 9% Vermont State Tax will also be collected on the above rates.

Rentals for weekly are from Saturday (check in 3PM) to Saturday (checkout 10 AM), unless otherwise arranged.
