Welcome to ‘The Roost’ - a Signature Busy Bee Cottage. The Roost’ is our newest addition, joining Savannah Busy Bee vacation rentals in January of 2013. One Bedroom, Sleeps 2-4

Features large bedroom, light-filled great room, ample covered porch (dubbed the “front perch”), and well-appointed modern kitchen.

Live like a local! In the friendly, historic South Forsyth neighborhood, ‘The Roost’ is a quiet retreat filled with eclectic artwork and one of a kind-furniture from the owner’s travels. You are only three blocks to gorgeous Forsyth Park and to a lively neighborhood hub, which includes the Sentient Bean (organic vegetarian café), Local 211 (a high end farm to fork restaurant), Brighter Day (a natural food store), a popular dive bar and diner, and the weekly Forsyth Farmer’s Market. Also only a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to historic down town center and river walk.

'The Roost' offers one large bedroom with a queen-sized bed made by a local artisan furniture maker with a luxurious temprapedic mattress. Additional guests can use the comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room and a queen-sized blow up mattress provided.

Eclectic artwork and artifacts from the owner’s world travels dot the cottage. Walk into ‘The Roost’ and see the vintage typewriter and accountant’s desk along with Zapatista paintings, local artwork, and original prints from Nashville’s Hee Haw Press and Cuba’s international film festival. You can relax or dine on the covered front porch and watch the neighborhood go by or use the antique portable picnic table for picnics in nearby Forsyth Park.

If you like to cook, the cherry red modern kitchen with custom concrete countertops is fully stocked with all of your needs. You will find everything from cutting boards, a blender, a garlic press, & a spice rack - if you need something specific please ask and we will see what we can do. The sunny great room opens into the kitchen complete with a 50s style breakfast table that can seat 4.

Local, healthy and sustainable living is a priority for the owner. 100% green cleaning, non-toxic interior paints, sustainable sheets, pillow, and bedding when possible, local fair trade organic coffee provided. ‘The Roost’ comes equipped with an eco yoga mat and accessories for your practice. Also, Forsyth Park is a great place to jog or walk or toss a Frisbee. A list of local yoga classes and gyms is provided

There is ample on street, meter-free parking right in front of the cottage.

DOG FRIENDLY

'The Roost' is dog-friendly for well-behaved dogs that know how to travel. Stroll with your four-legged friends in Forsyth Park, dine al fresco at one of Savannah's pet-friendly restaurants (Leoci's or Clary's to name a couple) or meander through the lovely squares to the downtown dog park. We'll even supply locally produced pet biscuits!

*We are 1.3 miles to Bay Street, which overlooks the Savannah River - we recommend walking through the park up the "spine" of Savannah, Bull Street, to check out the lush squares Savannah is famous for.
