Bobby Sands - A Log House on a Sand Beach in Door County

This is a 2100 sq. ft. log home on the shore of Green Bay across
from Door County. Door County is across the Bay. You should note
that the home is not in Door County but rather across the water. We
look at it from the porch. So be careful, if you only want Door
County this is not the home you want. What we do have however is a
modern, fully furnished home that sits
right on the beach in Cederville Township, Mi. directly across from Gills
Rock. The beach is all sand and one can walk for
miles in either direction. There are sand bars out front in the
water, the water is very warm and crystal clear. There is a
municipal harbor and boat ramp 4 miles down the road and very good
fishing at the same place. The area is rural and the vista off the
lake side porch is quite grand. The home is fully prepared for your
visit. However, youdo have to bring your own towels or sheets. We furnish
everything you might need except food.  Some non shedding dogs are permitted on a case by case basis.  We have not had very good luck with dogs so we likely wont accept one. 

There have been report of Site hcking at vacation rental sites.  If any e mail reply requires you to send funds by wire it likely is a pshing scam.  Always try to telephone the owner to confirm that you are actually dealing with that person.  Just food for thought,

Fully stocked kitchen, with full stove and refrigerator as well as
everything else you might need to cook or bake anything you want.
We have a gas and coal grill on the porch as well as old glider to
relax and enjoy the view. Because the lake is all sand at this
location you can walk the beach or on any of the sand bars for miles
and miles. There are very few houses around and the beaches are
normally empty. We park our motor boat on and anchor out front
between the sand bars and we keep our small sailboat out front in
the same place, but on a permanant anchor all summer. So, if you
have your own boat, bring it up. The interior of the house is very
modern with comfortable and relaxing couches. We have a Dish and
antenna, a vcr, dvd, receiver  and  DSL, as well as Netflix Streaming   Our Dish brings in Chicago Local Chanels.

For years we have provided linen and sheets, however this is proving problematic.  Thus we are now not going to provide towels and linen.  As such you will need to bring your own.  The last straw was a youngster apparently was playing with a magic marker in the upstairs bedroom and a very expensive sheet ended up pretty much ruined and then he decided to play with it on the rug which is now in need of replacement. .  This not the first time so accept our apology, but please bring your own sheets and towels.  Also, we are not accepting dogs any more.  Everyone has a "well behaved dog" and more often that not we come back to a disaster.  So, thats it for dogs. 

Please Note that we have a specific cancellation policy:  Once we have received your funds and you must cancel we will send your money back if no one else has requested your time period. However if we have turned away someone and can't get them back we can't refund your money unless another party offers to rent for your time period. We will open the calendar if you can't come, but just be aware and committed. There are no refunds if you need to cancel within 30 days and no one else takes your time period. 
 

Swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, off road trails, beach fires
and hiking. This is a special part of the North Woods and everyone
who has ever stayed here has loved it and most come back every year.
There is a security deposit required and you can opt to clean up
your self or pay a cleaning fee of 75.00.  If someone is going in behind

you a waiver of the fee is unlikely. We also have wired or wireless dsl,
which is free, and you are welcome to use the phone. Most local
calls are free anyway. The phone long distance rate is .7 per
minute. We ask you estimate you long distance use and leave the
cash on the counter.

Our rates range from 900.00 per week for off season to 1200.00 per
week from Memorial Day, July, August and thru the last weekend of September.
