Vacation Rental Description

If you are looking for a REAL PARADISE here it is “THE PELICANS” 
5 acres coconuts state Beach Front (Los Pelicanos).

The house ( one ) is build on 5 acres of land, with 350 feet of 
private beach; Surounded with hundreds of coconut trees, seagrapes, 
pines, flamboyanes, magueys, and many more exotic plants.

 Facing the ocean we have a huge tiki bar(PALAPA)that comes complete 
with a bathroom, hammocks,chases laungers, tables and chairs,which 
is well light for night time recreation. Where you can fix your own 
favorite drink, eat,read or just relax,and enjoy the sound of the 
ocean.
      Next to the tiki bar you find the fresh water pool with its 
beautiful waterfall, which is surrounded by coconuts trees, where 
you can see all the different birds pass by like flamingos, 
pelicans, humming birds,smokey birds,little pigeons,woodpeckers and 
other indegonous wild life.

Vacation Rental Amenities

 A Welcom gift basket and a directory with insede tips and picks in 
Merida,Ruins and Tours. 

The house have 2 full big bedrooms with remote controler AIR
 CONDITIONING each one. 
    With it own big closet and full nice bathroom. Each bedroom has 
its own huge palapa roof terrace with hammocks where you can sit and 
enjoy a totally diffrent sunset every afternoon. It is truely 
relaxing!

The house is fully equiped, with AIR CONDITIONING, hot and cool 
fresh water; 2 refrigerators (1 in each bedroom),gas Stove with 
oven,watercooler with purified bottled water, microwave oven, 
toaster, coffee maker, electric frypan, blender, silverware, dishes, 
cooking utensils,ceiling fans, gas BAR B. Q. torches, radio, CD, TV, 
(SKY), DVD, we recomened you bring your favorite DVDs, there is a 
local video rental store but their new releases are limited.

We also provide regular and beach towels and sheets.    
If the rental is more than a week,the house will be 
cleaned weekly, including sheets and towels.

CARETAKER.(PEDRO) Can arrange fishing trips, or show you 
around,etc.   

Activities and Attractions

Fishing, wildlife, flamingo viewing, swimming, snorkeling, boating, 
sailing, shelling, shopping, restaurants, museums, mayan ruins, 
cenotes, haciendas, miles of white beaches.

Telchac is a very friendly fisherman village located 45 minutes from 
the capital city of the Yucatán wich is Mérida, the WHITE CITY.

You have the mayan ruins of Xcambó 10 minutes from the Villa where 
if your lucky you will be able to see thousands of green singing 
parrots.

Uxmal and Chichén Itzá(soon to be one of the 7 wonders of the world) 
2 of the Yucatans most impresive ruins are located at 1 ½  hours 
away.

Dzibichaltún ruins are 30 minutes away from Telchac. 

 A few minutes from the house, you can take a wonderful tour where 
you will see cenotes, wild bird, flamingos, canadian ducks, 
camachos, pelicans, etc. It’s a tour you wont forget. You 
shouldn’t miss it, it’s beautiful.

In the marine port of Telchac Puerto you can rent boats to take you 
fishing at reasonable prices, also boats that take you for a scenic 
ride. Also you can find churches, bakeries, several restaurants 
(wich serve tipical sea food), shops, mini super stores where you 
can get every thing you need. Market place where you can get: meat, 
fruits, vegetables, Etc..

On Sundays you can enjoy the best cochinita pibil in all Yucatán, 
you WONT FORGET IT, ITS A MUST HAVE.

As you can see there are lots of things to do, and we can suggest a
lot more of other options. There is also an internet café service in 
town. 

The house is located 20 miles from Progreso, wich is the most 
important port in all of the Yucatán. Here you can find 
supermarkets, a hospital, and a small shopping center with 4 movie, 
theaters and many handcraft stores also (“Aurrera”, Wallmart 
supermarket). First class restaurants and night clubs are found at 
the “malecón” (the front beach main street of the port). Cruise 
Liners stop at this port every week.



FOR THOSE WHO LIKE CITY LIFE.
There is an international airport in Mérida, with direct flights 
from Atlanta, Houston and Miami. It can be cheaper to fly into 
Cancun, rent a car there and drive over –about four hours. The Mayan 
pyramids of Chichén Itzá and interesting cenotes are on the route 
between Telchac Puerto and Cancun – along with the Colonial City of 
Valladolid.

Having a car will make your stay much more enjoyable.

If you have a momentary longing for city life, Mérida is just a 50 
to 60 minute drive from The Pelicans (Los Pelícanos). There you can 
find many of the popular food and shopping chains, like: Costco, 
Home Depot, Walmart, Sams Club, McDonalds, Chili’s, Fridays, Burger 
King and the most popular regional restaurants. (Los Almendros, 
Panchos, La Tratto , La Parrilla,  etc..)

In the squares of Paseo de Montejo Avenue you can experience the 
wonderful sights, tour on the turist bus (two floors bus) wich will 
show you the most important side of the colonial city, also Merida 
has a very exciting night live, like theaters, movies, 
discothèques, and international bar´s

so dizzy from happiness that we tend to forget about promises.
