vacation rental description
For many years I searched for the ideal Maine Cabin / Camp and instantly fell in love with this place. Beautifully constructed cabin with half log exterior, large field stone fireplace, beautiful sunsets, westerly views, long dock with easy shallow walk to deeper sections, are just a few of the reasons you'll find this an idea Maine rental.
Messalonskee Lake, also known as Snow Pond, is a pristine body of water 9 miles long. Part of the Belgrade Lake chain, this location offers spectacular views, crystalline waters, towering pines with birch and mixed hardwoods, and nesting loons.
The Cabin is already booked for most of 2011 - we still have a few weeks in September left.
Q U O T E S :
"What a great week we had staying at The Cabin... The Cabin itself was so comfortable to stay in. Swimming, kayaking and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit!" Cathy and Lennie Week of July 4, 2008.
"As soon as we drove down the lane and spotted "The Cabin" we knew we were in a very special place for our vacation. Upon entering The Cabin our feelings were confirmed! From the comfy beds, shower and gas stove all of our expectations were exceeded... Catching a fish off the dock while watching a beautiful sunset was fun. After a full day, falling asleep each night to the calls of the loons was the perfect ending to a perfect day. We're looking forward to a "return visit" Dan and Kathy Week of July 12, 2008.
"What a delightful week! Peaceful, calm and serene are the words that come to mind. The water was refreshing - crystal clear! We appreciated all of the special touches - the videos, the kayaks, the fire pit, the beautiful fireplace, Internet access, etc. Weespecially enjoyed the heron, the bald eagle snatching fish from the lake and the family of loons... Fishing was great! Leaving is the most difficult part. Thanks for everything!" Sue, Matt, Micas, Seth, Julie and David Week of July 19, 2008
"The Cabin felt like home the minute we stepped into it - a cozy, relaxed atmosphere full of warmth... We'll be back." John and Meg Week of July 26, 2008
"We enjoyed our stay very much, despite three days of rain. The paddle boat and kayaks were lots of fun. The water was perfect." Week of August 2, 2008
"We had a wonderful week at The Cabin. So relaxing. Our days were filled with kayaking, swimming, cycling, running and lots of reading. The loons were in front most of the time - their calls at night made me smile. The fishing was great! Dad's 20 inch large mouth bass was the highlight of the week (especially his week!) Thank you for everything. We will be back in August 2009." Heidi
and Warren Week of August 9, 2008
