Your houseboat will be permanently docked at our  private Tropical Island ‘Quiet Cove Key’ (aka Charlie's Island) on the gulf side of marathon. You receive free exclusive use of our private tropical islandfor camping, picnicking, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling adventures and so much
more. We provide a 17’ Triumph motor boat for transportation to and from your
island and recreational purposes during your stay. (The boat is only for use within 1 mile of shore.  This is not a deep water boat.) This worry free site is
truly a get away from it all. This exposed fossilized ancient reef is
beautifully landscaped with trails wandering throughout. You can enjoy
wandering the paths through the mangrove trees, fishing from the docks, swimming,
kayaking & snorkeling in the crystal clear waters around the island. We
provide a grill and picnic tables for your tropical picnic as well as a hammock
for the perfect perch to enjoy the tropical breezes off the Gulf waters. There
are lounge chairs for sunning or just simply relaxing. There are also two hard
top canopies in the center of the island as well as a composting toilet. This vacation
rental is ideal for people who are interested in a rustic, camp like adventure!
The island is located in a beautiful, quiet, private cove. There are no homes
along the shoreline of the cove. The island is surrounded my mangroves from the
western gulf side edge of Curry Hammock State Park.

Your Florida Keys houseboat and island vacation adventure includes a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom
Houseboat which sleeps 6-8 guests. Our houseboats come fully equipped, offering
you a safe and comfortable home base for your Florida Keys activities - the
perfect place to kick off your shoes, lay back and relax.

The free private dock (that we own) where you launch the motor boat from is conveniently located in a quiet dead neighborhood on 6th Avenue, Gulf just past Mile Marker 54 and the island is
just a short boat ride away. These locations are in Marathon Florida - also
known as the "Heart of the Keys" - this private vacation rental is
just a heartbeat away from all the Florida Keys has to offer and no matter
where in the keys you are headed, the views and feel of the Keys are nothing
short of awe inspiring which just makes the travel time fly.  Anyone coming for the first time, be warned, when you leave the keys and return to the real world, you will have a longing
to go back to the Florida Keys.

Note - Most electrical (including A/C) run off of the boats' gas fueled generator at the renters expense. Coolers are available upon request in lieu of refrigerator operation.

This island is a great place to experience nature.  From the iguana's, pelicans, cormorants and many other birds that frequent the island, to the aquatic creatures such as dolphin, manatee, sting ray, octopus, lobster, crab and many species of fish that frequent the waters, this is truly a unique and amazing opportunity.
