Dewey Beach Vacation Rentals

Dewey Beach is a natural sandbar community located just south of Rehoboth on a small strip of land between Rehoboth Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It is about one mile long and only two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for thousands to descend upon the town during summer weekends. In addition to pristine white beaches, the area offers a wide variety of water sports such as skimboarding, catamaran sailing and windsurfing. Delaware Seashore State Park offers a long stretch of natural beach that offers several areas for four-wheel vehicle access and surf fishing  The town has a well deserved reputation as a magnet for party goers and is a major attraction for young singles. But it is also a popular family resort spot, because of its wide, sandy beaches. Cape Henlopen State Park offers open shoreline for crabbing, surf fishing, swimming or walking. Many vacationers seek out this beach because it is the home of the highest sand dune between Cape Hatteras and Cape Cod, rising over 80 feet above the shore line. The park also features walking dunes tours, a Word War II observation tower and nature walks.
