bustle of everyday life. 
 
Casa Magica is located on the beach in exclusive Colonia Doctores in  
the Tropical Riviera near the port of Progreso, between Chicxulub  
Puerto, a quaint fishing village, and Uaymitun, a flamingo sanctuary,  
on the northern tip of the Yucatan peninsula.  
 
Almost everything in this 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa with separately 
available 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom casita is NEW.  
 
Decorated with rattan furniture, Mayan and eclectic art, it boasts  
luxury linens, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 televisions and an  
enormous air conditioned bedroom suite.  State of the art electronics  
including broadband internet access, local telephone, cellphone, and  
US/Canadian phone access are available separately.  Ask about maid  
service.  
 
This magnificent villa is designed to take advantage of prevailing  
sea breezes and it has a very airy feel.  Living and dining areas  
open to magnificent views and warm tropical breezes. Enjoy an ocean  
view from most rooms; a wide golden beach is at your doorstep.   
 
Awaken to the sound of our neighborhood rooster. Have coffee on the  
terrace while watching the fishermen as they head out to sea. Choose  
to swim in the Gulf of Mexico, stroll on the beach, go shelling,  
relax in one of our hand-made silk hammocks while listening to your  
favorite CDs or watching DVDs, read a book, sit in a lounge chair on  
one of our 2 grand terraces, barbeque, sun bathe on our private beach 
or swim in our pool.

Activities and Attractions

Casa Magica is not just endless empty beaches, peace and quiet,  
quaint fishing villages, friendly Mayans, beautiful sunrises and  
sunsets.  Less than 5 minutes away is a Pink Flamingo Sanctuary and  
Observatory where you can watch these magnificent birds in their  
natural habitat.  Progreso, 5 miles from the house, has a beautiful  
Malecon with restaurants overlooking the longest pier in the world. 
There is also a Walmart for your shopping convenience. Play golf and 
tennis at La Ceiba Golf Club, it is only 15 minutes away.  Drive 25 
minutes to Merida for fine dining, night clubing, people watching and 
familiar conveniences including Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, Sears, 
OfficeMax, Office Depot, Home Depot, Friday's, Subway, Pizza Hut, and 
Bennigans.  You will also discover a city, founded in 1542, with 
beautiful mansions and museums.    
 
Immerse yourself in Mayan culture. Internationally famous  
Dzibilchaltun is less than 15 minutes away while Chitzen Itza and  
Uxmal are about 2 hours away.  Let the magic of Mayan culture  
transport you to another time.  Read about their culture in our  
library, then explore the mysterious Mayan ruins to experience it for  
yourself. 
 
The area is becoming an ecotourism destination. Discover its unique  
environment; investigate the jungle and its wildlife, visit coastal  
estuaries and mangroves which support an extraordinary and diverse  
population of aviary and marine life, see the vast salt beds, then  
explore underground caves and cenotes.

Policy 
 
Rental Rates are quoted for 1-6 persons.  Please inquire if your  
group is larger.  
 
Children are welcome but the house is not child-proofed.  We believe  
that parents are the best judge of their children’s actions.  The use  
of common sense in setting aside art or other objects that might be  
tempting to youngsters is encouraged.  
 
Please inquire if you want to bring pets.  
 
No smoking is allowed inside the house but there are large terraces  
on both floors where smoking is permitted. 
 
Until confirmed, our rates are subject to change without notice. 
 
Daily cleaning services (including laundry, floor cleaning, bed  
making, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and similar services) are 
available at additional cost. We encourage you to use this inexpensive 
service; it will make your vacation a true vacation. 
  
All bookings are a minimum of one week. 
 
All Rates are in US Dollars.  
 
Rates quoted are for the main house only and are subject to change 
without notice.  The casita is available for larger groups. 
 
If the time you want is not available, we suggest that you ask to be 
placed on our waiting list . There is always the chance of a  
cancellation.
