quick facts

vacation rental description

Thank you for your interest in our vacation cottage on Green Lake!

Our cottage is part of a ten-cottage condominium off the Nicolin Road on Green Lake in Ellsworth, Maine. It is informal, and set back just a bit from the lake, nestled into the trees.

The cottage is furnished, with two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two twin beds), two full baths, living area (with a double sleeper futon), dining area, kitchen, and an enclosed front porch.

Green Lake is clean, beautiful, and peaceful. It has been home to a family of nesting
loons for years. About nine miles long and one mile wide, it lies east of Bangor and west of Bar Harbor and Ellsworth.

cottage rental amenities

The kitchen has the basics; a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, and cookware.  There is also a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking.
If you want use of a radio or TV, you will have to bring them.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. All you need to bring are linens (sheets and towels) and groceries.

activities and attractions in Ellsworth Maine

Green Lake is wonderful for swimming, boating, and fishing. Ice cream, boat rentals and windsurfing lessons are available at the head of the lake. At its foot is New England's largest fish hatchery.

Ellsworth is often called the "Gateway to Downeast Maine", where golf courses, yacht clubs, summer theater, bowling, riding stables, and excellent restaurants can be found. There are historic landmarks, museums - and of course the breathtaking Maine seacoast.

Mount Desert Island is about a half-hour away, with Bar Harbor and it's many sights and shops. In Acadia National Park you can go rock-hopping, biking, hiking, or just sit and watch the birds, sea creatures, and waves.

Please feel free to call if you have any further questions, I'll be happy to speak with you.
