Here in our home we recognize the traditional family as an integral
part of your experience. There are three essential elements vital
to that experience. You, the traveler. the place, and as hosts, it
is our responsibility to provide you with nourishment and
rejuvenation for the body. However, it is the sense of place which
will nurture your spirit. And to welcome you to our home, you will
find fresh local tropical fruits, Kona coffee, bottled water and
something for your sweet tooth upon your arrival.
We invite you to stay and relax and allow the 'mana'the 'spirit', of
this place to touch you as you absorb all that this ancient land has
to bestow. For this reason our home is decorated in the island
style. A gas range & oven located on an island separates the kitchen
from the living room, having the dining area along side this will
allow you to promote and enjoy interaction with your family and
friends. The living room French Doors open into the lanai which is
equipped with a gas grill, and patio furniture for your outdoor
dining enjoyment.
The two bedrooms will sleep 4. One bedroom has a queen size bed
while the other is furnished with two twins. Both bedrooms have a
color television a CD clock radio and ceiling fans. The living
room has a futon sofa which opens into a full size bed for the fifth
or sixth person. The living room is air conditioned for your comfort.

activities and attractions in Kailua-Kona The Big Island
Our home is situated on Alii Drive approximately 1 mile from Kailua
Village. Take a stroll in this quaint town with some of the
remnants of old Kona and historical points such as the Hulihee
Palace, as well as shops and eateries.
Just 4 miles south of our home will bring you to one of the better
snorkeling areas in Hawaii. Here at Kahalu'u Beach Park you will be
able to snorkel with an assortment of colorful reef fishes, view
reef animals in the tide pools and even see the endangered Green Sea
Turtles swim into their sanctuary of the beach.
If you are the adventurous type and would like to go Parasailing,
kayaking or deep sea fishing, Kona is the place to be. You will
also be able to go on a hiking tour, horseback riding, get on an ATV
into Waipio Valley or even fluming a ditch in Kohala, or just spend
the day visiting the farmers market or play a round of golf on one
of our many golf courses in Kona. In the evening how about a tour
to Mauna Kea for a Star Gazing an experience never to be forgotten.
The Island of Hawaii aka 'Big Island' is the youngest and largest
island in the Hawaiian Island chain. A driving trip around the
island is an excursion in itself. But the sites that you will see
along the way cannot be seen on any other island. Going south
toward the Volcano National Park, you will be driving through coffee
and macadamia nut farms before arriving at Punalu'u the only
remaining Black Sand Beach in the State . Then there is South Point,
the southern most point of the US and there you will find the Green
Sand Beach (put on your hiking boots and take lots of water it is a
hike to the actual beach). Arriving at the Volcano National Park, be
sure to walk in Kilauea Iki crater, then drive down to the end of
the Chain of Craters road, where there may be a possibility of
viewing an actual lava flow. (Be sure you have lots of drinking
water and hiking/walking shoes). Leaving the Volcano, you will drive
through Hilo town, where you can visit Rainbow Falls and outside of
Hilo the Akaka Falls, then travel through the pasture lands of the
Parker Ranch (the largest working ranch in the US), before arriving
back to Kona.
Whatever you choose to do, Kailua-Kona is where you will experience
the spirit of Aloha in our home, your home away from home.
